If your spouse is in the military, what do you do when they are NOT deployed, but they are working non-stop and you never see them?

My husband works nights and I work days. When he does work daycrew, he usually gets called in for a couple of hours at night. We can almost never have a meal together and it seems like sheer luck if we can sleep at the same time.

I just started working two days ago. I love having a job instead of sitting around the house cleaning all day. I am not going to quit because when my husband is deployed, I want to have something to do. Plus, I have a bachelor's degree and I am going to use it.

I feel so angry at his work and sometimes at him (even though I know he can't help it) because I just want to have a nice dinner with him.

So, what do you do? How do you keep your sanity?

The war is over (the US won). The military is now working on a "nation-building" mission. What if the US dropped everything and left? Should they leave?

This morning I got a letter on my myspace, one of my friend's boyfriend just got back from Iraq just 3 days ago. He didn't come and see her or anything. He asked his father to tell her that he was dumping her. This came as quite a shock to her. His father told her that he had changed. The same thing happened to my older sister. She was dating a man in the Marine Corps. He had already been to Afghanistan once and was gonna get shipped out to Iraq, he couldn't bare saying good bye to her so he broke up with her. This makes me so sad. Do these boys ever get better?

I'm a soccer player and I'm in relatively good condition. I can shoot a gun pretty well and I'm rather perceptive about my surroundings. I'm a little impatient and I have a slight problem with authority. I work well with others and I'm a pretty good follower or leader.

I know a person who is claiming that there parents are forcing them to join the army. I was under the impression that they can't force you, you volunteer for it.

Is this true?

I am on assignment to Camp Zama, Japan and just wanted to know other people's opinions about it. I have two kids and a husband, do you think it is a good place for families? I appreciate any real responses.
