My ninth grade class is supposed to write a letter to a soldier in Iraq. We have to relate the experiences of Odysseus, the epic hero, to that of the soldiers'. We can't be harsh and tell him things like while Odysseus was gone, hundreds of guys tried to take his wife. That wouldn't give the soldier hope and definately wouldn't make him happy. So how can I make the relations to Odysseus's experiences not harsh and somewhat humorous?

Seriously what do the people who are completely against the war that we are fighting in currently, want? We went into Afghanistan and Iraq to take out evil people who would kill us if they had the opportununity. So what are we going to do pull out of both Afghanistan and Iraq completely as if nothing ever happened and watch both countries fall into complete shambles and watch as they bot become overun by evil dictators and the countries end up being worse then before the war. We could all do that and take the Bill Clinton approach and do nothing because people wouldnt be dying in Iraq, but they would be dying over here. Face it people die in war its a horrible thing, but with the people we are dealing with we either attempt to finish them off and have some people die or we all sit back and watch the gretest country in the world falter and have attacks on our soil everyday and millions would die. So you pick your poison. O yeah and we would still have to deal with North Korea if we pull

Oh,Bush and Blair,
Are these your pranks,
To murder kids, with your planes and tanks,
Then, like hypocrites you give God thanks,
Desist for shame,
Proceed no further,
God doesn't want your thanks for murder
