LoL he said he went AWOL b/c he didnt want to go back to Iraq...ok, and then he said he became against this war when he saw an innocent Iraqi man die...umm its war it happens, I mean does he not get the concept of war? Now its not what ur supposed to do go kill innocent men, but he said it was during a gunfight and an innocent man got trapped so it wasnt like they were just raiding towns killing innocent ppl for no reason. What a pu**y. I guess that 1 innocent guy negated the 3000 innocent victims killed on 9/11. Plus this war is different than any other, were not at war with a country were at war with terrorists who are sprinkled throughout many countries, innocent ppl are going to die its inevitable, get over it. Rather be safe than sorry, and rather him than an American soldier. Agree? Or disagree??

Rumsfeld just announced that he agrees that we need a great increase in troops in Iraq and I would think he would't want to decrease our protection at home any more than he already has. Would you go even if you knew no congressmen son's are not going to be drafted...

Used to be the war was won, when all your enemies men were killed, the women and children were taken as slaves and your people colonized their lands.

He told a college crowd in California that if you don't get an education you will wind up stuck in Iraq. I voted for Kerry, but I don't like the message of what he said. Today's military is far more educated and qualified overall than it was when I was in during the Vietnam War. I don't support our reasons for being in Iraq, but I do support our troops. Should Kerry apologize?

So muss fuss is made about other countries aquiring atomic weapons, yet we allowed India and Pakistan to have them. India has tripled theirs from 20 to 60 and Pakistan feels left behing with only 30 (from 20) and I don't trust them ( the government, that is ) - no beef with the people - They fought countless wars over Kashmir so I assume that the next one will be an atomic one, no question there................ Any answers ?????

I want to serve in the MIlitary, but at the same time be sure I get stationed somewhere around my fiance (Not getting maried for another year). I know I'll proabably get deployed to Iraq or somewhere else, but I mean like when I'm in the US..So I was thinking National Guard?..But I'm pretty sure its just a reserve type thing, or is it active duty? If not..what do you suggest?

A war happens when two instutions break down on negotiations over a view they severely disagree on, right? So what is the US the war in Iraq about again, and can anyone define what the US is hoping to achieve by winning it? What is a win again in this situation?

And why would it be considered losing by pulling out? Does that infer that by staying the US is winning?

I am 19 now and expecting to be getting a 12 month sentence in a few weeks. Just want to know when I'm all finished with that if I would still be able to join the army or would having been in prison mean I have no chance.

Do you think it has to do with his own military experience, calling US soldiers in Vietnam "baby-killers" and he has since accused soldiers in Iraq of abuse of civilians. Doesn't he know that his loathing of the US military will hurt his '08 chances of becoming president?
When will he wise up and either admit he hates the military or pretend he likes them enough to get elected?

We are making so much fuss about other countries aquiring such weapons but we allowed India and Pakistan to build / have them........ India trippled theirs from 20 to 60 and Pakistan ONLY has 30 and feels left behind. I don't trust them - their governments - (I don't mean the people) and they have been fighting over Kashmir for over 60 years and many wars. So the next one will be an Atomic war ???? !! That's how I see it. Argentina and Brazil are also on that route...............
