I am a senoir in high school and am thinking about joining the Navy next year. I was wondering if you could describe any good jobs to lookout for and maybe a description of what they are. I got a 99 on my AFQT so that shouldn't be problem.
I'd particularly like a job that involved learning a foreign language, but that's okay if they're not.

So... a marine told me to go ahead and try to send my boyfriend in Iraq beer. Can I? Also can I send cigarettes, chew and porn? Don't answer if you're just going to say that alcohol, tobacco and porn are bad.

This year My family has taken on a project to show our support of our soldiers serving in Iraq. We want to prepare 10 gift holiday boxes for 10 of our troops who don't have much family. We are putting cookies, bread, and making homemade cards. WE WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW what are some other ideas to put in the box. Looking for small gifts that would be appreciated & liked, and that they might not have accesses too. We were thinking maybe a couple of books? . Your input would be most appercited & Thank you in advance for helping. Go USA!!

put the tritium ice for (nuclear fusion)? Got the spherical Pu240 shell (20kg) and the explosive lenses etc in place. Does the fusion material go INSIDE the shell or what? ..and should we put it all in one big lump or in small gold packaged spheres within the main mass? I mean.. it's a real bummer if the the device fragments before complete thermonuclear reaction takes place!..bit of a damp squib! Nov5 is approaching and I need to impress my S. Korean neighbours downstairs and the Japanese across the way with a display of peaceful pyrotechnics!

All I hear from the Republicans is the Democrats want to cut and run. From everything I have seen or read it looks like it is the Iraqis that cut and run. You would think that Dick our VP would know about cut and run, He had five military deferments. And Geo. joined the air guard. No Vietnam for either. And they have the nerve to treat Veterans like they do.

I'm going to graduate from college in the spring with a degree in International Relations and a minor in Arabic. I've been thinking about joining the military for a while now, and it does seem like something I'd really like to do. I want the adventure and the experience most of all. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they'll pay a large chunk of my college loans as well. Yet, at the same time I have been with my girlfriend for a little over 4 years now, and marriage is definitely in the picture, and I'm not so sure that I can ask her to go through with me being deployed on and off for 3 or 4 years. What I'm wondering is, is a new marriage sustainable while on member of the marriage is gone in the military for such long periods of time? Also, is there anywhere else I can get the kind of adventure and experience that the Army offers? It seems like such a unique experience, and while things like the FBI, peace corps, etc interest me too, they just don't have that same appeal.

does this mean the Bush Administration would have been just fine about invading any other middle eastern dictatorships with a ruthless dictator? There are plenty of nations to choose from. How about Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar, Omar, or Dubai?
After all, Bush said that if he knew what he knew now, he still would have invaded Iraq.
But no, instead he disregarded the Intelligence reports that came right before we invaded in March of 2003 which stated there is no hard evidence to confirm Saddam has a nuclear arms development program.
Don't you agree that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld should admit there was no good reason to invade Iraq? Because if we are going to invade Iraq, we might as well invade nearly every other middle eastern nation and regime.

I recently was honorably discharged from the United States Navy and I have several uniforms that are in very good condition. I was wondering about Army-Navy surplus stores. Can I just take my uniforms to the store and will they buy them from me? I live near Seattle, WA. If anyone has experience with selling to an Army-Navy surplus store, I'd greatly appreciate it!
