Warning this awnser may cause controversy

The strategy was to watch their soldeirs die and die as soldeirs
who fought bravely but for revenge kill civilians and use it as an advantage to make a country surrender. You know what i am talking about Pearl harbor and Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The Japanese were aiming for the U.S military and
the soldeirs of the U.S fought bravely and died. But the U.S dropped a bomb and killed hundreds of thousands of people
who had nothing to do with the war.To this day they say that they can nuke any country of their choosing but do not relize that
it is not the same. A country now will not give up from a nuke.
They will fight until the last soldeir or civilian.

Deal with the Germans first, carpet bomb before sending in the troops, and allow the Soviets to reach Berlin first. I'm not sure why we let the Soviets get their first, but Patton was sure mad about that particular strategy....i don't blame him.
