I can't comprehend why anyone, even Republicans would do this to our fighting men & women. Help me out here please.

For example if you had 5 years in the national guard and you were an e-5, but then you went active duty? Would you get payed E-5 w/ 5 years time in service, or would your drilling weekends count towards time in service for pay?

I received an "Other Than Honorable" discharge from the Navy. Now when I fill out an application or certain paperwork do I mark that I am a veteran or not?

I'm not sure how the whole system of benefits works..I can't seem to find any solid info on veteran's disability benefits. Will it limit my earnings potential as a civilian? Is there any other important information I should know while my claim is pending?

Specifically so if I decided to go into Officer Candidate School instead of Airborne Infantry. I scored a 98/99 on the ASVAB, so I'm qualified for every MOS I could possibly want, I just don't want to go through OCS and end up stuck as a Supply Officer or something.

So, does anyone know if my ASVAB score could possibly determine my MOS if I graduate from Officer school?

Basically, what I mean is, what do you think about it? Do you think it's stupid? Do you think it's a smart thing to do? Thanks for your answers and/or opinions :) .

I believe that by securing Canada and Mexico, the US with its Navy and Air Force, could possibly defend a worldwide attack.

Apparently, the bank had all of its assets seized under the Trading With the Enemy Act because the bank was funding the Nazis.

Is this the origin of the Bush family fortune?

Have never served in the military? I just got to thinking about this when I saw a post asking "Why are the Marines doing a better job in Iraq." And then you have all people who watch the tv and chime in with their opinions etc. But you never catch anyone who is serving in the military in Iraq saying that I am better than the Marines, or the Army is better than this, or that the Air Force is a bunch of this or that. I think that all of us who serve in the military take pride in our individual services, and at the same time love our brothers and sister services. For everyone who has an opinion about who is better than who, I would highly suggest that you go and join whatever service you think is the best and help us all out.

Hey, I'm Brandon. I am 16, and I have been looking into differn't possibilities for a career. I have always loved my country(America), and have had a strong sense of patrioticism since I was young. So I have been considering joining the Marines'. But I'm not really sure how to go about it... My Dad says I should get a degree first. Because if you get your B.A. before enlisting, you automatically become a O-1(2nd LT), is this true? If yes, what is the best way to go about qualifing to become an officer? Are there pre-enlistment courses I can take? Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Just felt like asking. I mean Pakistan lost 3 wars that it attacked first in and stuf but Pakistan always seems to be included in the top 10 military stuff for some reason. And the people still consider India so weak that they can simply destroy them with 1 nuclear bomb. I don't get it.Just because india never uses propaganda and
only shows its might in an actual war does not mean they are weak. I know this qustion is not really important to the American people but it is Yahoo awnsers lol.

Twelve years ago I was employed at a defense contractor
and had a secret security clearance. I tested positive for marijuana and was fired. I didn't smoke regularly and have not smoked since then. I have been employed as a truck driver ever since and have passed numerous drug tests. I now have the opportunity to work for another defense contractor and they will hire me regardless of the positive test "IF" I am able to get a secret clearance again.
Anybody, do you think i'll be able to get one?

My thinking is we have really done it this time. If you think terrorism was a problem after September 11th 2001, with our forces bogged down in an unwinnable quagmire, we have a much greater problem with thousands and thousands more who REALLY have reasons to hate us. How smart was this invasion ?
