You could look online or you could also try and buy a book like "Winning the Board". It gives you all the branches ranks with pics. It also goes through all the ribbons and medals. I think we bought it new for less than $10. Always a good thing to have.

the officers have different insignias
lieutenants have one vertical bar and captains have two bars
majors have a leaf and colonels have an eagle
generals have star/s, the highest possible being a five star general
