My thinking is we have really done it this time. If you think terrorism was a problem after September 11th 2001, with our forces bogged down in an unwinnable quagmire, we have a much greater problem with thousands and thousands more who REALLY have reasons to hate us. How smart was this invasion ?

The wisdom of invading seems to be a favorite discussion. Will it win well?? Well it's more like, will it end??? I think someone will step up with some solutions, and some will be acceptable to Iraqs. Hopefully the US leaders will accept Iraqs wishes, and will result in friendly relations. Too much to hope for??? well we can dream!!!

Yes, I do. When we first invaded in 2003, I told my buddy who is politically the opposite of me, that it would be a 5 or 6 year venture, with plenty of setbacks along the way. I see no reason to change my statement, except go with the 6 year time frame instead of the 5 year one.

The Iraq gov't has only existed for 6 or 7 months. They need time to organize and get things started. They've got a big job ahead of them what with unifying the country, rebuilding, and establishing their own security. I don't think giving them 3 or 4 years to do so is unreasonable.

at this point any end would be well in itself. Although since there is now no ruling authority in that festering craphole we created, to pull out would be stupidity. IMO the only way to control that region was with a maniacal dictator such as was there. The other governments in the region are very radical and so i think that there was a balance of power in place and if the U.S. pulled out than Iraq would become a sort of nuetral zone thats the opposite of a DMZ.

Yes, we are killing our enemy, liberating the innocent, and putting the killers on notice.

If you only have a 15 minute attention span than you should sit back and enjoy the show. Buy lots of popcorn, this may last a decade or two.

It's just a matter of rounding up the cattle. Can you dig it?

I think we should have just gone over there and done what we had to do then come home, instead bush keeps sending over more and more troops to be killed....the one guy had it right...make bush send his daughters over there and see how long it takes before he gives in and brings the troops home. Bush is a piece of crap and i can't wait for him to be out of office, so we can bring in someone who gives a damn about our fellow americans over there.

If we do not elect Liberals who will Cut and Run as they did in Vietnam, yes, we will win this War! And, when we do, the Terrorists will lose their Cowardly Fighters.

No, I think we did what we could. We did get rid of Saddam. But when we leave someone else will be the next Saddam. I think the region is hopeless. Those people are living in the stone age. As long as they don't bother us, we should just forget them. Let's fix our own problems first.
