i would say yes. you served in the military and don't now...that makes you a vet. just because you weren't in a war or "other than honorable" discharge doesn't make you any less of a vet. thanks for your service!

dany7969 gave you an incorrect answer. One is considered a veteran if that person has served on active duty for a period not shorter than 180 consecutive days. An OTH discharge does not negate one's status as a veteran, but it does negate most federal and state benefits afforded to veterans who have been honorably discharged or retired..

You are a veteran. Some employers ask the next question: What kind of discharge did you receive?

I believe the stipulation is IF you served more than 180 consecutive days on active duty, you are considered a veteran. Of course, the best people to ask would be the VA.

You are.a veteran. If for VA benefits, you are eligible for most of the same stuff as other veterans who served at least 180 days active duty except for the GI Bill.

Yes a veteran is considered if you were in the service for 120 days. You don't have disclose what kind of discharge you got unless it's a goverment job.

Yes, anyone who served 6 months or more (counting bootcamp) is a veteran regardless of disposition of discharge.
You just don't get all the fancy VA stuff like respect.
