On August 22, On Yahoo news, there was a article intitled" Corps can recall Marines to active duty" and it said the re-calls will begin on next several months. The call ups will afect marines in the IRR.

Who told you we were being recalled?
There is a scheduled departure for all active duty squadrons. There is no "Recall" for any squadrons at this time. If we have a serious situation that requires more marines then there will be. But at this time there is none.

Marines have been in Iraq since 2003. We are still there now.
This will be a recall of Marines that still have time left on their IRR in needed MOS's. If they are in their first or last year of IRR, they will not be recalled.

There is word of a recall for Marines that were formerly with the reserves.
