An observation of reading history.....Democrats took us into more wars than Republicans. What we are in now is just the beginning...no matter who wins the next election, we will be in a lot deeper than ever.....Some things are not completely in our control! What we need to do first is support our troops and try really hard not to criticize our government. Do we really think anyone else would do any better, given the circumstances of the war.....probably not. Kerry as usual opens his mouth before he thinks.....that's what lost him the election. I honestly believe if Kerry had been elected we would still have been in war, and who knows what the outcome would be.

No, of course not. Why should he apologize for telling the truth? Either as a joke about our idiot president, or about the end result of lack of education? Where do you think all of the kids who join the military instead of staying in school or going to school are being sent? Trust me, they're getting sent to Iraq!
Every good parent in the world has said the same thing--do well in school, keep your options open, make the most out of your potential. In America, over the last few years, most of them are also saying, 'Don't go into the military, they'll send you to Iraq." And, guess what? They're right! Not only that, many of the people who have been sent over there are stuck there, because the government/military is using stop-loss orders to keep them there!
I grant you, the Republicans don't want you to recognize the truth when you hear it, and are desperate for something to take the heat off of them, but you don't have to be their mindless minion.

I have but on question for you Kerry supporters.
How can Republicans force a Democrat to make a public statement that is trashing the American youth that join the military?
Yes, I do think that he should make a public apology to the military and to the American youth, but I also know that it's just not going to happen.

Kerry said "You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”
That is supposedly not calling the troops serving in Iraq unintelligent. Just..(....).. liberals please fill in the blank.
Kerry has also stated "I’m sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did.”
Sen. John McCain has called on Kerry to apologize.
Guess Kerry forgot McCain served in Vietnam.

True.. Not prudent.
But come on, we all know that the military *is* the last choice available for many young people who do not do well in school, or even socially.
It is no insult, the military advertises parents considering letting the kids join the military after looking around and seeing gangs and pregnant kids

Apologize for what, telling the truth? It would be just like a Republican to prefer a comfortable lie over the fact that many high school drop outs have no choice but to enter the army. Stay in School = get a job, whats so wrong about that?

Why don't you apologize for lying? He did not criticize the troops, he criticized the morons who sent them to Iraq. Would that include you? Here's an idea, if you like Bush's war so much, go fight it. Please. No excuses. Just go, sign up, and fight it if you like Bush so much. But you won't, will you? No, you are a chicken hawk just like the rest of them. Pathetic
