BAD IDEA!!!!! if you got your finances already set up go to college then after college you can join the air force as an officer and maybe a pilot. Officers get way more pay and privileges than enlisted.

I believe that a person can have only one master. By that, I mean that you can do only one thing at a time: go to college or join the Air Force.

First of all, your vision, height and fitness must fulfull requirements in order to
join the Air Force. Also, you should be prepared to take the risk associated with being an Air Force pilot/technician: training accidents, work related accidents (see the following clip: I pasted it because it was cool, not to scare you) and of course the ultimate risk of getting shot down by the enemy. Plus, the pay is not that good, but it is made up for with the thrill and excitement of working on and around airplanes.

Secondly, what were you going to study? Do you see a future for yourself in an office or a lab? Are you comfortable with holding an uneventful steady job? (If your parents have an influence on you) What will they say? Have you already paid for tuition/room & board, and if so, are you willing to forfeit the payment you already made in order to join the Air Force?

Nobody but you should make this decision... make sure that you ponder over the idea for a sufficient amount of time before making a decision, because it will undoubtedly be the most important decision of your life.

College isn't for everyone. However, it is encouraged for many jobs and career paths. The AirForce will also pay for college after you finish, or even while you are in the AirForce. If the issue is that you are not ready for college because of a lack of discipline, most people are much more disciplined after being in the military.

Good luck in whatever you choose!

Good idea. First of all, you will learn proper english in the Air Force. Secondly, you can continue college while in the Air Force and get paid for it. Third, you come out of the Air Force with not only a degree, but practical job experience and leadership training.

I think it's a good idea. I mean am thinking of doing the same, It's good for me because i have no other plans. I hate college, because, my major sucks. I wanted to be in the military since i was 3 years old.

Anyway, I think if u love the military and you don't like college then do join. they'll pay for your college.while your in there I think would like college more in the air force.

Go and talk with them. You may even be able to stay in college and be in the Air force. I know this one girl she is in and is going to college full time and gets payed to do so, she is even living at home with her mom. As long as she get a good grades she has it made. But she is in the army.

Not a bad idea to join the Air Force..... but the more education you have, the better treatment you get from the military services. How close are you to having a BA?

Stay in college so you learn the difference between idea and ideal.

Depends. It's a good idea if you want to become a pilot and serve the US. Then when you get out you can be a commercial pilot (They make good money just flying around the country) But if you want to be something else, probably not.

I'd say, see if you can get into ROTC. You could even earn a scholarship, get a monthly stipend, do your training (and get paid for it) and be commissioned an officer in the AirForce when you graduate.

Look into that first, is my advice.
