questions during one of their surveys for recruitment? I'm not joining the army, but during his questions that was one of them and I just answered it truthfully, will that cause any problems?

They constantly call and are interested in asking if we want to join the army.

Bush's Army couldn't care less about your drinking and smoking weed, they just want bodies now. Look for a draft soon though with Bush's failures, he will have to be accountable with this new Democrat majority Congress coming. If there is a draft it will be because Bush has failed America too. We can't withstand anymore of the deficit with the budget being 98% Iraq military costs. I suggest you sign up for some College classes, and start hitting some 4.0 grades to stay out of the mess. I am a graduate of Notre Dame, so anyone can apply themselves for a greater good. Otherwise just sign up for the Navy if the military is your only future with the economy as it is.

There are many Soldiers that are able to get a waiver for this type of thing. I would be honest because they can kick you out for fraudulent enlistment, and it's better to start a career on a good note. Don't be afraid to do the right thing; you are joining the military and from day 1 should be kept honest. Recruiters tend to tell people that so that they don't have to do paperwork. Good luck and stop stressing! God's plan is the right plan! Good on your for having a conscience; don't lose that anywhere in life.

No you will not get in trouble. The military recruiters abide by a privacy act, they can not inform the authoritys. If you do not want them to call you, simply tell them you are not interested and to remove you from there database. No need to lie.

He'd think you were a liar, if you told him you never tried weed. Are you kidding, they're recruiting felons at this point in time, do you think they're concerned about some guy who tried weed? Not a chance.

The armed services is not a museum for saints, but it is becoming a refuge for sinners.

The recruiter can't do anything, but if you actually did something to annoy him, he might report you to the police. And THEY might start an investigation. Only you can decide how bothered you would be by a police investigation.

Personally, I don't recommend admitting to illegal activity.

Depends if he ever done weed, and how many breathing bodies he needs to meet his quota. Believe me son, folks done a lot worse in history and the US Army still accepted them.

When I was getting bugged by an Army recruiter, I told them I constantly smoked pot and I was an anarchist. He never bothered me again, and nothing ever happened to me for it.

Things are different now. I would NEVER say anything like that to an Army recruiter these days, but I was young and dumb.
That was about nine years ago.
