I am trying to find an address for a buddy of mine who was recently deployed to Bagdad. He went through basic training at Fort Jackson, but he was deployed from Fort Hood. I called Fort Hood and they have no record of him. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Are you military also? Go to www.military.com, they have a buddy finder. But like the other person said, trying to contact his family would be your best bet. Even if Ft. Hood had a record of him, they could not and would not give the info out to you. Even in an emergency the Army will not give out info, but will get any information to him via a Red Cross message.
Oh, just read the bottom part, sorry to hear his parents were killed. Your best bet might be to contact your local Red Cross and see if they will get a message out to him that you are wanting to contact him. Have as much info. as possible, of course his whole name, rank, last and current duty station, and it especially helps if you have his SS#, but my bet is that you don't have that. Good Luck, I hope you find him.

You might also want to try contacting an Army recruiting office. They may be able to give you phone numbers or web sites that would get you quick results.
Please keep trying, and know that whatever hoops you may have to jump through, it is a good practice for the military to protect information regarding any soldiers exact whereabouts.
Your letter will be mean a helluva lot to him. Send him a phone card if you can, those are like gold out there.

Too sad! I would call the red cross, if they cannot give you his info they will get your info to him! good luck!

talk to him mom. Try an Army locator's service. But your Buddy's family will be the best bet.
