There is a proper way to fly the flag. The American flag has to be higher than the Australian flag. In Australia the Australian flag is flown higher than the American flag.

No, it would not offend me. I know some people can have duel-citizenship with the United States and Australia, right? So just make sure the Australian flag is below the USA flag!

No. Australia is a very good friend of our's. Go for it! Besides, who knows. Maybe an American living in Australia is flying the American flag right now.
Now if someone is flying the flag of North Korea or Iran, for example, that's a whole different matter.

My neighbor us ULTRA liberal a retired professor at USC Berkley, and she flies the US flag outside her house on a pole, and more important she takes it down every night and puts it back up every morning. You are not supposed to fly the US Flag at night, but I see them all the time. Just because you are liberal does not mean that you hate the US. She learned that in 1961, when she was a B.A.M. Who knows what a BAM is?

No, I wouldn't. You are proud of your heritage and you should be. However, I would be offended if you only flew the Australian flag. I have nothing agaist Australia, but this is America.
