PJ - Slang for Airforce Special Forces. PJ = Pararescue Jumpers... also known as "Para-Jumpers." Para-Jumpers are the US Airforce's special forces. They are primarily medics trained for combat. Their mission is to rescue downed airmen, provide medical support for other special forces and other rescue operations. They ahve also been used to recover astronauts in early NASA missions.
