Trojans is the nickname of the University of Southern California and Spartans is Michigan State. USC is located in California and Michigan State is in Michigan which are thousands of miles apart. Also the states have different capitals (Lansing and Sacramento) so the funding for the Spartan and Trojan programs comes from two different sets of legislators. But both states were the home states for Republican presidents. So Gerald Ford could have been a Spartan and Ronald Reagan could have been a Trojan but neither was because Reagan went to Eureka College which means "I found it" in Greek, which is where the names Spartan and Trojan originally came from. Come to think of it maybe Ford was a Spartan.
The term "Trojan" however means to work hard without ceasing in pursuit of a goal while "Spartan" means austere and devoid of pleasure or pleasurable accoutrements.

Very different.
Sparta was a city-state in Ancient Greece. Troy was across the sea--where the Trojan Wars were fought between Trojans and Greeks.
And someone said above that the Trojans kicked the Spartans *** with the Trojan horse? Um, no. The SPARTANS beat the TROJANS with the horse.

difference between spartans and trojans was that the trojans were living in the sourthen area of Turkey, and the spartans were living in ancient Greece. Except these the spartans were the favorite of Atina and Arest, they were the god of war. But trojans were favorite of Zeus and Afrodit. But both of them had the same language, the same Gods, and approximately the same traditions. But I say all of these basing on Illiada- the poem of Homer.

The Spartans had boyfriends, that they fought beside. A good move as a person will fight to protect someone they love a lot more than for a king or country. They were considered a formidable fighting force.
The Trojans had Helen, that was one busy girl, no wonder she ran off with Paris.

Oh my god !!!!!
Who said Troyans were Turkish????
Turkish came in this Land 2500 years after the Troyan war.
Spartans were from the Greek city state of Sparta but
this city/state was not formed in the way we know it in the
years of the Troyan war (About 1200 BC).
Troyan had the same gods, language etc with the other Greeks.
Remember their names : Paris, Hector, Priamus, Ekavi......
Troyans were Greeks.
