I'm NOT talking about sexual harassment.

Where would you find information regarding this and also an enlistee's rights?

I tried google but can't find anything useful.

Badly phrased question... of course there are laws... but how comprehensive are they? and do they really make a difference?

Its not sexual, racial, disability, or gender based harassement we're expereincing... its just harassment in general... looking for any little thing to make a deal out of while other enlistees are basically getting away with murder... you know the military buddy system... its pretty much impossible for my husband to do his job without getting harassed for SOMETHING. A lot of people DON'T do thier jobs and other bad things with no consequences. Basically its become impossible for my husband to have a day off without wondering what the sergeant's going to stick him with next.

Maybe in the ARMY this kind of thing doesnt fly, but in the Air Force its all politics and who youre buddies are. And frankly there arent many people here who actually have integrity and are worth being friends with.

There are also a lot of things going on in the shop that other people dont know about so just ANSWER the QUESTION and stop PASSING JUDGEMENT!!

And regardless of whether or not I can do anything about it I would still like to be able to find out whether or not there IS something that can be done!!!

AMERICANS ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THEIR RIGHTS NOT ROLL OVER AND GO BELLY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Inspector General or talk to your religions leader about where to go. Remember, secrets are hard to keep & Officiers do not
like criticism. It can hurt your advancement if you can not prove & do not expect a lot of your fellow soldiers to back your claims. Be sure it is true harrassment.

Your cutting a fine line there. Harrassment??? An order is not harassment and if your ordered to do something you do it whether you like it or not. If you think that you are unfairly treated and can prove it then you can approach the AG's Office to see or find out the appropreate procedures to follow. I seen many a numbskulls in my day who thought they knew everything and tried to get away with things that were unbelieveable for them to even try and smiled when the cards turned against them. You learn a good lesson from it and do as your told, and it's mainly because momma or daddy didn't teach you any better.

You don't mention the reason your checking this out and I can only guess that it's a personal thing for you or you wouldn't be asking the question. If this is the case, I would suggest that you sit back and think things out before you make a big mistake and suffer the consequences for making it.

Not to sound negative, but it has been my experience that someone getting a hard time in the service, is someone who is have serious problems and messing up badly. You make it sound like the Sgt is picking on your spouse because he is doing his job while others screw up. Not likely. NCO's and Officers are reflected by the appearance and capabilities of their subordinates. They would definately get anyone who is out of line in check quickly. Your hubby is leaving out something important. If he is being treated unfairly, the UCMJ is definately there for him....however, whether he is being harrassed or not, in the end, if it turns out that he is screwing up, he will have to live that down no matter where he goes until he gets out. He will be considered a rat and a screwup and his pros and cons might not be high enough for him to reach that next rank. So be prepared for the consequences. My recommendation is: before you make a complaint, find out what the problem is and correct it.

Naval members may submit a grievance IAW the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Contact your branches legal office for additional info...

The EO guy in the unit can help him. Or the Inspector General at any level.

UCMJ states all soldiers must be treated equally. I can pull the regs on it if you'd like.....

You should have an Equal Employment Officer in your battalion or squadron. Your senior enlisted shoul dbe able to direct you to that officer. you could always write your congressman as well with your complaint.

yes, talk to your first sergeant. i think all branches have one of those. their job is to keep morale up. the same organization that deals with sexual harassment also helps with harassment in general. i just can remember the name.
