Army First Lt. Ehren Watada became the first officer to go public with his refusal to deploy to Iraq on June 8.

I feel, a tip of the iceberg,” said Watada. “I would like to see all of [the troops who oppose the war] come out, whether they were discharged from the military or had gone AWOL or dropped out of the rolls, to come together. Terrorism is horrible, but this war is a lost cause. It takes any small group of lunatics anywhere in the world to start a terrorist group. Believe it or not, it's not just all middle-eastern people. Bush is just staying in it to keep the economy he messed up afloat.

My roommate smokes weed everyday. I've never smoked a day in my life and I'm leaving for the Navy in a month and am afraid that the second-hand smoke I breathe in just walking around the house will cause my blood and urine tests to come up positive.

I was in the military in the late 80s and early 90s and have been completely out for awhile now. Since this war, I have purposely not made my 'new' address known in any database because I don't want to be suddenly called back up.

BTW, I am not on inactive status but because of my field, I have had friends in the same field age 50+ that have been out for 20+ years get called back in.

Anyways, today I got my VA warning letter about the leak of 1 million veteran's information. I am wondering how the heck they found me? LOL

For those who have not heard, a few weeks ago some dummy who worked with Military Affairs, took home his laptop then it was stolen. His laptop had something like a list of 1 million veteran's personal information on it including name, ssn, birthdate, etc...

The Military announced it would be warning everybody who was on the list... today I GOT MY WARNING LETTER?

I want to beat somebody's **** or sue somebody... something!!!

I seem to remember his saying soemthing similar early in his election bid . His cronies think that they can use USA military might to line their pockets by knocking over little weak countries.
I fear we may bite off more than we can chew and get bit bad. Iraq is a very small nation with no army yet they have fought us to a standstill with volunteer amateurs. what happened to our military might? If Bush really plans to advance an imperial agenda, he is off to a very bad start. I think we should be helping others and making friends as we will need them very soon. we may be at the mercy of our enemies if we keep making more and more of them. We are letting our mouths write checks our a$$es cannot cash

Now this question is not meant to cause heated retorts. Think of it more as a simple debate amongst friends. Which branch is the best and why? Don't leave out any detals. I, for one, plan to join the Air Force when I go to college. I like the USAF, but I come from an Army family. And then there's the Marines and the Navy, too. So do tell, which branch truly rules?

We are so strong and brave when it comes to kicking *** with little countries like IRAQ but run scared when anyone mentions Korea or China. What those dictators are doing is ten times worse than IRAQ. So we must be just a little chickenshit nation to say we care about freedom and democracy in the world but never do anything about the the real threats because we are scared to get hurt. Why not just admit we are not number one anymore, not even number 2 and let the big boys run the world. we should just shut up and eat our Mc D burgers and take our drugs and hope we do not get invaded . God will not help us if we do because we are both wicked and weak.

Before anyone jumps and says... oh another bleeding heart, anti-american liberal (LOL), let me say 1st that I participated in Gulf War 1 & I am a proud LIBERAL. I really don't care what ppl call me but I state that in order to make it clear that this is a serious question.

With that said, I opposed the war from day 1. With Gulf War 1, one of our allies had been occupied and we should and did help them. I never felt and still don't believe we had any business occupying Iraq.

But, now that we have created complete havoc over there, what do we do? My first impulse is to say... stay and try to fix it the best we can because we are the ones who made the mess. Then I think of how many ppl are dieing.

So, what if it doesn't get any better with more and more Americans dieing? I mean seriously, do we bail or stay? We now know the reasons we went there were false but now we have made a mess.

I just don't know.... I don't want more Americans dieing but I also don't want to surrender.

I am 5 3" and weigh 165, to meet air force standards I must be 155-. Can I still take the rotc class and apply for a scholarship next semester (I will be going to a HBCU, so I don't have to compete for a sholarship)

Tha idiot madman dictator Kim is way worse than suddam ever hoped to be. he oppresses and starves his people. he actually HAS nuclear weapons and has threatened to use them. he is irrational and cannot be trusted. He hates USA and forces his people to drill in his propaganda . He teaches the school kids to hate USA. He is a major threat to the entire world. he should be killed. Drop a couple bunker bombs on his palace and destroy him before he attacks us or one of our friends.
His people are suffering and do not have democracy. They could be an example to all the other unfree countries in ASIA, such as Singapore and Thailand with their rotten KING and to China that has a commie dictatorship and is abusing the human rights of all it people. That damn Indonesia is just a bunch of muslim USA haters anyway so lets wipe them out and get a good old Christian democracy in there before they join up with the terrorists & destroy us. Why do we let these people be that way?? It is Un-american!
