Terrorism is horrible, but this war is a lost cause. It takes any small group of lunatics anywhere in the world to start a terrorist group. Believe it or not, it's not just all middle-eastern people. Bush is just staying in it to keep the economy he messed up afloat.

Greed, for oil, greed for control & the government thinks everyone should be like us, and follow them blindly. Its much easier that way.

It's not oil. If we went to war for oil, look at Kuwait. We coulda just ran-sacked them and took it from them. Don't believe the liberals. We are not only in Iraq but also Afghanistan. Bush took the war to where most of the biggest terrorist groups flee to and have terrorist camps. Bush has not messed up the economy. Remeber before her took office, it was failing fast. They even called it a Bush economy and he wasn't even president yet. If anything he's been trying to fix all the screw ups that weren't even attended to by Clinton!

For the war, remeber, we still have troops stationed in other countries all over the world. So don't ever think it'll ever be a total complete pull out. He wants to see this thing through to the end, which he should do. You don't just start something and not finish it.

Some people are so dumb that they can't see how WMD spells OIL, and won't support mass murder of Iraqi civilians calling it 'freedom'.
Freedom means others die so we can live a good and easy life off their oil.

Some people are so arrogant that they scoffed at the UN (the rest of the world) when they said 'don't invade Iraq because the US president isn't able to provide truthful evidence'.
But the honest, fair and moral countries from the UN knew a whole lot more about deceitful Bush's plans, far more than the American public ever did.

Anyone else in the world would kick Bush's butt until his nose bled - to teach this thug not to be such a bully.

I think the answer is a little more complicated than either side suggests, and I think that it is a little naive to suggest that Bush is the one solely at fault.

To say that invading Iraq will prevent the terrorists from attacking 'us' later is just plain silly - you can not 'fight' terrorists, you can only beat them by taking the moral high ground away from them. Not that I suggest turning the other cheek, but persecuting arabs (through racial profiling at airports, or by invading hotbeds of terrorism) because it was an arab terrorist group that knocked over the WTC is only going to alienate an even larger proportion of arabs, creating more terrorism, not less.

However, politicians have to do what they think people want, and a large proportion of Americans are not smart enough to see beyond their own prejudices. Bush quite clearly demonstrated that this is the more active proportion of the American population, by getting reelected. Bush did exactly the right thing - what his country wanted - it is Joe average-American that is at fault for the ongoing war.

Have you heard of Hitler? Well the same thing that was happening during WW2 in Germany under Hitler was happening in Iraq with Hussein. Fortunately we went in now instead of later. This isn't just about stopping terrorism, it is about getting Iraq back on its feet. Too bad there are still "bad guys" trying to stop that. You hear so many bad things about this war, you never hear about the good things that we have done. So why are we in this war? We are in it for the Iraqi people.

Why ask a question when you have already made up your mind. Being closed-minded means that you cannot or will not undestand any viewpoint but your own.

Try asking yourself that question, and this time be a little less closed-minded.

The President gave a great speech today from Iraq, if you weren't too busy blaming him for concocted problems, you might have learned something.

For the morons who dont understand lets explain one last time. To protect us from future attacks we need to take the bad guys out now wherever they may hide or attack whomever would protect and provide safe harbor to them. Your kids will never be safe until the bigwigs such as bin laden are DEAD.

its such a strategic place isn't? Sudan and North Korea don't measure up despite the plight of its people, there has to be other economic incentives to persuade the U.S. to go in!
