Is the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (AP Story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060614/ap_on_re_as/asia_security emerging as the new Warsaw Pact? Facing off against US, Japan, Australia, etc, with Taiwan holding the position of Berlin, & military power focused on naval more so than land power?

NOTE: Japan is partnered with US on regional missle defense, has recently engaged & chased off a PRC sub in Japan waters, has opened an informal embasy in Taipei, and has an extensive exchange program of retired senior military officers. They are now in negotiations with Taipei toward a treaty as to what level of military involvement Japan would have in support of the US if China were to invade Taiwan, & what Japan military reaction would be if these extensive support & defensive forces were to be attacked.

We are so powerful compared to them. ( Insurgents! ) Could it be the reason we are getting a butt beating is "they" have strong beliefs" about what they are doing? We ( The USA ) are the one who illegally entered Iraq due to lies about WMD. Do you think this is the reason we are getting our butts handed to us everyday?

As the war in Iraq continues for a fourth year, the global image of America has slipped further, even among publics in countries closely allied with the United States, a new global opinion poll has found.

Favorable views of the United States dropped sharply over the past year in Spain, where only 23 percent now say they have a positive opinion, down from 41 percent in 2005, according to the survey, which was carried out in 15 nations this spring by the Pew Research Center. In Britain, Washington's closest ally in the Iraq war, positive views of America have remained in the mid-50s in the past two years, still down sharply from 75 percent in 2002.

Other countries throughout the world have have little or no repect for the United States due to the Iraq war and the lies the Government told. The Insurgents have more respect in the world than Bush and his supporters. The United States will end up losing the war on terrorism much like the war they lost in Vietnam.

We are forced into killing way too many Civilians because Rumsfeld/Bush/Cheney and the other Chickenhawks who started this War refused to listen to their Generals and refused to take enough troops into Iraq to Secure it, defeating IRaq's Army was no big deal for the most powerful Military Force in the World, but unless you have enough troops to Occupy and Secure the places where you have defeated the Enemy Forces, you cannot Secure the Country.

As far as fighting a War using the enemies "Rules", or lack of them, that remidns me of an old saying...."If you lay down with Pigs long enough, pretty soon no one will be able to tell the difference".......

The World is starting to have a hard time telling the Difference...

"As the war in Iraq continues for a fourth year, the global image of America has slipped further, even among publics in countries closely allied with the United States, a new global opinion poll has found......."

I mean think about it. We freed the Iraqis. But now it's screwed up. And Saddam did not have WMD's. My point of view is that it would have been alright if we did not screw up. Only if it could be more like Afganastain. Also why did when invade the capital of Somalia?

American jails are a country club compared with foriegn ones. Didn't their Allah give them strength to overcome the "great Satin?"

For that mattter, what happens to AMERICANS in foreign jails? Not to mention prisoners of war. Has anyone done any research on THAT subject?

And why would someone so useful think about suicide? Don't they have dissention to stir up, people to force into things, issues they can dominate? If they kill themselves, who will fight the "great Satan"? Oh - I get it! They just couldn't wait any longer for the 72 VIRGINS.

<>When WW III Started ~~~ 1979 !

US Navy Captain Ouimette is the Executive Officer at Naval Air
Station,
Pensacola, Florida. Here is a copy of the speech he gave last month.
It is
an accurate account of why we are in so much trouble today and why
this
action is so necessary.

AMERICA NEEDS TO WAKE UP!

That's what we think we heard on the 11th of September 2001 (When more
than
3,000 Americans were killed -AD) and maybe it was, but I think it
should
have been "Get Out of Bed!" In fact, I think the alarm clock has been
buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the snooze button and
roll
over for a few more minutes of peaceful sleep since then.

It was a cool fall day in November 1979 in a country going through a
religious and political upheaval when a group of Iranian students
attacked
and seized the American Embassy in Tehran. This seizure was an
outright
attack on American soil; part 1

does any one think its kinda strange that on 911 it was usama who attacked but instead of us attacking him and his group full force we some how got diverted to iraq and sadam and so called "weapons of mass destruction" and yet we still havent cought the main person that caused our countrys major down fall in a long time. plus we were okay with iraq when clinton was the president, it just seems like the bush both sr. and jr. want something more in the middle east, sr. tried in the early ninties, and now i guess you can say jr. succeded some how right?
