No all you the people can do is vote for somebody that says they will remove the troops

Depends on what you mean by "we the people". If you had enough support(and could actually get them involved enough to protest or show some other sign of being on your side), then Congress could revoke all funding for the war in Iraq which in essence would end it and force the president to bring the troops back. Congress could also petition the President to bring the troops home citing the support of a majority of Americans... However in both cases the President could by Executive Order, insist that the war continue and then there would be a constitutional battle which ultimately would have to be decided by the Supreme Court.(this would take some time of course). Ultimately your best chance of getting troops withdrawn from Iraq is voting for someone who supports that position, or allowing them to complete their work building up Iraq and returning when the work is done. But the American people in and of themselves cannot order the US military to anything.

Absolutely not. The President is the commander in chief of our armed forces, and so only he can do that.

We do have some control over things, though -- for instance, we can vote the President out of office or, if he's not up for re-election, can vote the other party's candidate into the White House.

The people of Iraq didn't have that opportunity for over 30 years -- but now, thanks to the US military, they do.

You can stay there for the end of your life if you feel like it. Everbody knows that you go their to disunite their people. You should not withdraw until you finish the country. Finish them first, then you withdraw, and confirm the world that you impose democracy.

I do no know what kind of democracy is this. Bombardments, chaos, killings, manhandlings, assassinations, humiliations, wilful destructions, disuniting. Ohhhh! We pray for God not to allow this kind of satanic democracy to be planted in Middle East, forever.

no, for good reason too. The American public is highly uneducated on what happens in Iraq. Only the Senate can withdraw the troops(asside from the president).

No! Thank goodness! We the people don't have all the information on what is going on over there. We want to do this thing right not half *** so that our kids have to go back in there to take care of it later on.

NO AND I THINK WE SHOULD STAY THERE! NO ONE EVER THINKS ABOUT WHAT THEY THINK SHOULD HAPPEN, THEY JUST FOLLOW THE CELEBRITIES AND JUMP ON THE BANDWAGON, BUT NOT ME! IF FIGURED THIS OUT, THE IRAQI MILITARY ISN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO PROTECT EVERONE FROM THE INSURGENTS. SO IF WE LEAVE, KNOW WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN? EVERYONE WILL BE SLAUGHTERED. THERE WON'T BE ANYTHING LEFT OF WHAT WE HAVE DONE THERE, (SAVING THE IRAQI PEOPLE) BUT BODIES. WHICH WOULD MEAN THAT AMERICAN SOLDEIERS WILL HAVE DIED IN VAIN!
GO BUSH!!!!!!! HELL YEAH!! NOW YOU SEE WHY YOU DON'T WANT TO GET ME STARTED ON POLITICS!!! EVEYONE WHO THINKS WE SHOULD COMPLETY PULL OUT IS IN THE SAME CLASS AS A TERRORIST, AND IS NO AMERICAN IN MY BOOK! WE SHOULD SUPPORT OUR PRESIDENT, NOT MOCK AND RIDICULE HIM!

We could through our elected representatives, the congress.

Their spineless republican majority would never do so, however, since they back their same-party president...
