I didn't know the marines in Iraq were fighting for anybody's freedom. The US was a free country with no threat from Iraq, Iraq was a free country too. If they had a dictator, it was their own issue and besides things were stable. Is the marine fighting for freedom? Whose freedom?
First WMD, then Al Qaeda, then democracy and now its freedom. Is that the newest republican spin?

I didn't watch it, but let the Marine cry... damn! Maybe it's because he's in a war many miles away from his family, friends, loved ones and, yes, mother too. Maybe it's because he had just lost some of his fellow friends/troops.
... I didn't know if you were making fun of this Marine or if you were really concerned or something. The "Did he want his mother?" made it sound like you wanted to make fun of him.
... So, anyways, if you were really concerned and didn't mean any harm, sorry about my response, but if you weren't f--k you! That is all...

You know Marines or people too! They have wives and children and mother and fathers! There could have been anything that could have been going on to make him cry. For all you know maybe they set up a live feed for him to see his new born kid or something! That does happen some times. Or like was said before maybe he lost some men out there.

Hey those Marines are making it possible for you to rant and whine the way you are right now. So understand something, you should reconsider why you have the right to speak this way without having some secret police break down your door and take you away in chains never to be heard from again. Go to Mexico and say something to the President there and I'll see read from you in 10-15 years from now, or made never.

My husband has been a Marine for 7 years. It is the best thing (besides God and myself) that has ever happened to him. Many Marines credit the Marine Corp for shaping them into the respectable men that they are today. Besides that, many many of them put their lives on the line on a daily basis; my husband has been to Iraq, and almost faced going back. Please show some respect for these men.
By the way, one answerer mentioned that Marines are trained with knives instead of guns......ahem......my husband has been trained with guns and he is an awesome shot. Who told you that b.s.?

Is this video on the web? I tried CNN.com and did not see it. Marines can have emotions too. You ever been in a war? Those guys are not acting in a movie. Their lives are on the line.

I didn't see it but the recording should have stopped when he cried. Just the stupid media trying to get ratings. They should have given the respect to that Marine and let him alone when he got emotional.

What sacrifices have you made for the freedom of this country?
How many times have you put your life on the line for a cause larger than yourself?
My guess would be none.
