does any one think its kinda strange that on 911 it was usama who attacked but instead of us attacking him and his group full force we some how got diverted to iraq and sadam and so called "weapons of mass destruction" and yet we still havent cought the main person that caused our countrys major down fall in a long time. plus we were okay with iraq when clinton was the president, it just seems like the bush both sr. and jr. want something more in the middle east, sr. tried in the early ninties, and now i guess you can say jr. succeded some how right?

If you were cognizant of reality, you would realize just how uneducated your question is.

After 9/11, the US and a coalition of nations went into Afghanistan because the Taliban government there was hosting and supporting al-Qaeda and Osama.

Bush had also said that he was generalizing the war on terror, and supported going after countries (like Iraq) that supported, hosted and supplied terrorists, including al-Qaeda, Hamas, etc.

Additionally, Saddam had refused to comply with the UN resolutions in destruction of his WMD (see link).

We were not OK with Iraq under Clinton; Clinton created the US policy of regime change in Iraq. On 12/16/1998, Clinton attacked Iraq with almost 400 stand-off weapons (cruise missiles) and 600 aircraft bombing sorties in response to his failure to comply with UN weapons inspectors.

Your 'knowledge' of recent history is wrong.

Whist after 9/11 the coalition forces did attack Osama and the Taliban in Afghanistan, the mission wasn't well prepared and rushed through. This basically meant that the objectives were not achieved or set in stone before the deployment. The axis of evil of which Saddam Husian was accused of being part of, and the justification of Weapons of Mass Effect (of which none have been found) was used as an excuse to invade Iraq. For the Bush administration it was seen that Saddam was taunting them and rubbing their faces into the fact that there hadn't removed him when they had the chance (something which Margret Thatcher wanted to do, but was stopped by the Americans) and the fact that America got slapped on its own land. The fact that Saddam doesn't have close links with the Bush Administration past and present might be another reason why Osama is still at large and poor old Saddam is in jail.

How can you say it's a success when people are dieing because of the changes they're trying to make over there? Honestly I think it's another one of those projects that the US will be enbedded in for a long time because we have to stabilize the government over there.

I would say it's about oil and that very well could be true. It was kind of funny to see how many member of congress and members of his cabinet owned oil over in Iraq.

I think bush was trying to finish the job that his dad started like some people would say but I also believe that we're trying to do some other good over there. I can't stand the thought my husband is over there for something as stupid as an oil well.

First thing you have to understand is there is not just one war going on right now we have two. The war in Iraq and the war on terrorism. We are not in Iraq right now looking for usama we are in Iraq right now to free there Country.

We can not find usama right now becuse of a few things. I my self think he's dead becuse we have not heard from him in a long time. But it's also other Countrys are not letting us in to hunt for him. We will get him one way or another thiere is a big price on his head right now and who ever does find him will be verry verry rich.
