The money seems relatively low compared to private and public sectors. But military personnel have benefits that we non-military types don't get.

But as was mentioned earlier.. we do get some other non cash bennies that do help bridge the gap a little, such as free medical insurance and having our housing provided for either through BAH or an actual unit. 30 days paid vacation per year from the first year. Relocation expeses paid for. tax free shopping at cost. access to other things like vacation resorts in Hawai'i, Japan, Korea, DisneyWorld and others...

Because once a service person is finished with his or her obligation to serve,they become a financial liability.I receive an ex rat $18.000 per month on my SS because I am a Viet- Nam vet.

cause the government uses the defense budget to pay for other not needed programs. They also create false programs just to ensure the budget for black box projects and assignments.

Because our Dear US GOvt uses people to their own advantage and that inlcudes their own. They tell you, "JOIN THE ARMY" take you to war, commite war crimes, or become a POW, and or get involve in casualities and then kick you in the butt back to the US and say, "thanks, we do not need you anymore"
