My Fiance is leaving to go to Iraq (for the second deployment), and this time, I have the chance to go see him off. For me, I think it would be best if I did go. He, on the other hand, thinks it would be best if I didn't go, becuase he couldn't handle it. But I couldn't handle it if I didn't go. If I do go, there will be other people with me who I do know, and who are going through the same thing. I thought it might be better for all of us. What should I do?

With all the unrest in the MiddleEast should the USA conquer Iran while we have the military and equipment there, The USA has had to enter Iraq a second time because we didn't finish the job during the 1991 gulf war. Will we learn form our past mistakes and complete the mission or in 3 years will we have to start over and attack Iran ? I am not saying war is good or bad just that by not occupying and conquering effectively do we have to go back later and fix the mistake.

Also, what does it mean when liberals constantly lie, distort, supress and manufacture news that helps people who want to kill us? How americans respond to this behavior, especially from some of our elected officials? Isn't this the serious CRIME of sedition? It wasn't very long ago that these people would have spent decades in jail for these crimes.

Hi!

I am in love with this guy who is in Iraq right now. We know each other for almost 2 years I would say. He left to Iraq as a US Army soldier last September and will return from his deployment in September this year. He started calling me a few months ago, writing letters and sending emails. I am in love, so is he.

He asked me if I would say yes, if he asked me to marry him. I said that I would say yes. He said we could get engaged soon and get married ASAP. Which was perfect. Started looking for dresses and planning. Now he told me that he will stay in Germany for 3 months and go on a one year deployment, without me. Since he cannot take me with him. Now he wants to wait with the wedding.

I builded all my lifeplans on him. He just took everything away from me- what sould I do? I love him. But I can not stay here waiting for him. Here in Germany where noone is understanding my situation?

Please help me, I am lost. I am scared that another deployment will change him.

The insurgents' main purpose it seems is to kill as many 'infidels' as possible, and it really doesn't matter if there are civilians and innocent people involved. So why is there such a double standard when an American soldier accidentally kills a civilian?

People are being manipulated endlessly by Bush. One of the most disgraceful things about this war is the political ban on seeing the coffins that come home? Have we become such a callous society that we do not allow citizens to see the toll on loved ones, on the loss of our soldiers? When is this madness going to end? Why aren't Americans speaking out? Enough already!!

Ok, I need a day off, no it is not an emergency, I just have a lot of stuff I need to get done, take cats to get spayed, then my husbands graduation is later on that night, about an hour away, so even if i have to come into work, i would ask to leave early anyway. Are we allowed to just request one day off and it not have to be an emergency or tdy or anything like that? Also, for any supervisors out there-Would you like for me to just straight up tell you I have a lot to do? I would rather tell him the truth but not if it won't get me a day off! Thank you for the help!

In the military I was forced to stand at attention and salute the American Flag. I thought it stood for freedom and justice. Well, freedom is now history and justice only comes if you can buy it. So I no longer like the flag. Besides, the one I have is made in China. ( Yes it's an American Flag but comes from Communist China) So go ahead and salute it. China will love you for it.
