Funny I was just reading a report yesterday that said that there were like 268 bad conduct discharges that were appealed last year. Only one was "upgraded". If you still have your DD-214 see what the R number is down in the bottom corner, that is what really counts. I am told that senators are the point of contact to try to improve this, however being senators I am sure you will not get far with them. Good luck, I would start by writting or emailing your local house rep. and Senator. If you do not hear anything after a few weeks, then start calling and being a pest. I do not know how much effort I would waste on this though. I have seen people with horrible discharges get some really great jobs, as long as they were not gov. contracts or needed security clearences.

My boyfriend was less than honorably discharged from the Marines. He joined the National Guard, from which he was Honorably Discharged. The second discharge is what the military now looks at when reviewing his record.

My husband had an undesirable upgraded to a general under honorable conditions Contact the legal branch of whichever service you were in, they can tell you where to start. If you don't know how to contact them, speak to a recruiter, they can tell you who to call or write. Good luck.

Build a time machine, go back in time and serve honorably and you'll get an Honorable Discharge. Everyone I knew who got a BCD deserved it. Many deserved worse, but they were let off easy.
Let me guess "You wuz framed."

depends on what the BCD was for, but normally those aren't given out for any old thing. you REALLY have to screw up to get a Big Chicken Dinner.
Honestly, unless you can PROVE that it was awarded in error, your chances are probably slim to none.
