jack430 gave you a great link to the pay chart. And you get paid twice a month. Half on the first, half on the fifteenth. Plus, remember that is just the basic pay. If you have dependants, are in a combat zone, etc. you rate extra pay.

The pay between military vary a little but you have to remember they pay BAH (housing - unheard of in civilian areas.
An E1 new no experience makes 1178.10 with housing of 590.96 no dependents & 693.28 with dependents.
An o-1 new officier usually fresh from college makes 2416.20 with housing of 1054.98 no dependents & 1431.44 with dependents. Most of this comes from Army info but the websites give about the same numbers. They pay free mendical, moving & sprepation pay of about 300.00 a month, plus combat pat of extra 250.00 a month seems low to let people shoot at you. All of these are monthly amounts. depends on your pay grade. a captain dont get paid as much as fresh meat

Depends on rank, time in service, housing supplements, possible combat pay.
