My roommate smokes weed everyday. I've never smoked a day in my life and I'm leaving for the Navy in a month and am afraid that the second-hand smoke I breathe in just walking around the house will cause my blood and urine tests to come up positive.

It can. It depends how much you're inhaling. It is stored in the fat cells and can stay in the system enough to test positive MONTHS later, not just weeks as someone has already said. There is actually a formula (probation and parole use) for the rate THC levels must drop to show someone is not using.

There is a few variables but no. THC is stored in adipose tissue (fat) so if you were an extremely obese person who was locked in a closest maybe, but in a car as a passenger not a chance. There is tolerance levels for the test as well. So if you a thin person you could smoke 2 days before and (if not a hibitual smoker) still pass the test. I say not habitual because you can build up some THC levels high enough to take a few weeks to clear.

No. You would have to be in an enclosure the size of a telephone booth filled with people that are all smoking a fatty for an hour before you would come up hot on a urine analysis. You have a better chance of suffocating from the smoke before getting a contact high.

Depends..If you just inhale the 2nd hand smoke, it will take far less than 30 days to remove all THC from your system. THC is stored in fat cells. So drink plenty of soda and eat Niacin pills. Also all tests Military or otherwise can determine by the PPM of THC showing up in the test. EVERYONE allows a certain PPM for the very reason you are asking the question. no, I've been told by a professional that it would not show even if you were in a phone booth with people smoking pot. I've read some of the answers and it will not. I;ve smoked one day drug test the next and passed just drink lots of water. MY test was the same type the military uses, they burn your urine and test the molecules. and I passed everyone If your want put hot water in a film canister and hid it in your pants and but a littel bite in the urine

yes, it is just like smoking it. if he is smoking it every day and you are sitting with him, you get almost as high as he does also.
And yes you will fail the test if you are not out of that smoke for the next month

Yes you can fail, but I think weed processes out fairly quick, still you DO NOT want to fail a drug test, ever!!!

no way, even if they blew it in your face, its pretty much impossible to fail a drug test from second hand smoke.
