I have a friend that keeps the police departments non-emergency number, in his cell-phone, so if he were to get pulled over, and he believes the stop is unjust or he is being treated unfairly by the officer, he simply calls the non-emergency number of the Police department, and requests that the field sargeant gets dispatched to the stop, to kind of "mediate" or ensure that the ticket is justified. He has told me that he has gotten out of tickets, and an unlawful search that way, as either the police officer backs off, or the sargeant has sided with my friend. I asked another friend that used to be a police officer if you were able to do that, and he told me no, your only legal recourse is let the court decide, and you aren't allowed to call the Sargeant. I was wondering if anyone knew the answer. I live in Los Angeles. Thanks.

Why can't we punish happy slappers more severely? I am SICK TO DEATH of reading about these pea-brained morons every day. It really depresses you and you wish to God you could do something about these despicable thugs yourself.

Anybody who derives pleasure from beating up and filming some poor victim must be utterly SICK and TWISTED, that's all I've got to say.

We need tougher punishments and an end to the softly softly approach.

My son was arrested and now has a felony assault charge over a simple stupid arguement between he and the mother of his child.

When they were still living together (Keep in mind they were teenagers- she 17 he 19) they got into an arguement because he stayed out and she thought he was cheating on her.

She started slapping at him and he shoved her backwards to get her to leave him alone and she fell onto the coffee table, but bit her own lip on the way down. When the cops came (neighbors called because they heard her crying and thought he was beating her) they saw her lip bleeding and just assumed he punched her in the mouth and wouldn't believe her when she said he just shoved her. Then they called in counselors that brainwashed her into believeing he was abusing her and got her to testify against him in court.

So now his life is ruined because some cop didn't listen to the full story and her brain is warped because counselors jumped in where they needed not to be.

Let say there was a pursuit chase, and during that pursuit chase, two police agency are in on it, for example LAPD and Santa ana police department are pursuing the suspect. So the suspect surrenders and they handcuffed him, and do the agencies fight over who gets the guy, or do they rock paper scissor. Just curious. LOL

For God's sake, the guy is 78 years old. How dangerous could he be? Why don't the laws just admit they lost this one and move on to something else? They've wasted 12 years of taxpayers' money trying to find a guy who in all probability is dead. Admit defeat and stop wasting my money already.

ME and My girlfriend are messing around behind a building at night with not many lights. Its a parking lot.. There is no one around that area at that time. My question is will cops drive into lonely parking lots with two cars and second question is what are the consequences of public indecency? What if he catches with our cloths on in the back seat? We are both 19.... What can we do if this situation arises?

You answer to a 911 hang up call you respond to the call and go to the house. A male answers in his underwear and you tell him you are here due to a 911 hang up call. He says he will let you in just let him put on some pants. As he closes the door you see a young women covered in blood she yells out help he shuts the door and locks it and runs out the back door.

What action would you take?
What powers do you have to enter?
What would you do about the injuried party inside?
What would you do to help prove te victiums allegations? (shes been sexually assaulted)

You later learn the name of the involed person and that they met at a bar and went home together. He has a previous sexual assault charge dating back 2 years ago and is wanted by the Vancouver Police.

What action would you take now?
How would you prove that peters is the involved person?
Would you get a warrant for his arrest?
How would you prove you case?
What witness would you ask to speak to?

I posted a similar question on the day this man was executed by the police, after watching the video. I was berated by people who said I did not know all the facts..and should wait. others praised the cops and made fun of a man who was visiting Canada from Poland.. Fair enough.. more information the Man had been in the airport for 10 hours, and could not get help in Polish, and therefore could not find is mum, who had left the airport after being told her son was not in the Airport, The man broke a computer and threw a chair in frustration. evident from the amateur video. The Canadian police confiscated the video, a clear sign of guilt. but after the owner of the camera complained the cops gave back the camera. the the cops claimed the man attacked them, clearly a lie if you watch the video, the autopsy reveals he was not on drugs and died from heart Attack induced by the taser. 241 deaths by taser in 2007. yes he was upset and tired and afraid. So was this man executed?
