EDIT: I know it is illegal, I am just wondering whether I would be arrested, or just given a ticket.

The reason the car is unregistered is because I just bought it from out of state and need to come up with like $1200 at the DMV before I can register it, which is going to take me a few days.

Why would you drive a vehicle not registered ?? You already know your breaking the California Law. Depending on your background, and if your an illegal alien, you will be deported. For sure, your vehicle will be impounded. Costs lots of money and if your clean, they might let you go, with no arrest. You will get a ticket for no Insurance, no Registrations, License Plates, Title. Hopefully, you have a valid Drivers License, if not you will be given a citation for that. When being pulled over, for all of those offenses, you might also get your privledges taken away from you. Privledges of Driving in the State of California or anywhere else. Why take the chance. Do it the right way. These charges can be held against you, for a long, long time.

If you are a US citizen, you will get a ticket.
You might get arrested and your car could be impounded.
Most times you will just get a ticket and pay a fine.
Make sure you have proof of insurance and your drivers license with you if you attempt this. Let some know to check on you that can bail you out if you don't show up.
Hint: You can have it towed much cheaper !

He easily can. there's no longer something which will stop him from registering his automobile, yet why is he being stupid approximately his tickets? If he extremely is interior the technique of paying them down, there would not be a warrant, because of the fact he'd would desire to flow in and negotiate. as long because of the fact the warrant is valid he could be arrested. remember, the cop has no decision, in spite of if Mr. spectacular is sending his $10 a week, if the warrant is lively the cop has no decision.

Probably a nice big ticket. Depends on why it isn't registered also...maybe the better your excuse the less the fine

You'd be ticketed if that was your sole offense and told not to drive your vehicle. If you had other tickets or something wrong with your vehicle, then you might be arrested.

I believe they can do either and/or confiscate your ride. Just depends on whether or not you are respectful and the cop got any that morning.

Cops don't care if you got it from out of state or from God himself. Do you have any priors or are on probation? Maybe you shouldn't drive it til it's legal.
