I posted a similar question on the day this man was executed by the police, after watching the video. I was berated by people who said I did not know all the facts..and should wait. others praised the cops and made fun of a man who was visiting Canada from Poland.. Fair enough.. more information the Man had been in the airport for 10 hours, and could not get help in Polish, and therefore could not find is mum, who had left the airport after being told her son was not in the Airport, The man broke a computer and threw a chair in frustration. evident from the amateur video. The Canadian police confiscated the video, a clear sign of guilt. but after the owner of the camera complained the cops gave back the camera. the the cops claimed the man attacked them, clearly a lie if you watch the video, the autopsy reveals he was not on drugs and died from heart Attack induced by the taser. 241 deaths by taser in 2007. yes he was upset and tired and afraid. So was this man executed?

The man was tased by the RCMP, he was not executed.
I would like to know how an autopsy was done in 2 days, that could possibly give such a conclusive toxicology report.
I have watched the video more than once, and based on my experience in dealing with people who are on drugs combined with alcohol, this gentleman was either already having a cardiac problem, or he was under the influence of alcohol and a central nervous system stimulant. He was sweating profusely and exhibiting cyclic behavior.
It is tragic that he died. I am not discounting that. But it clearly was not the intention of the officers in the video to kill him.
One final observation.
Before the RCMP arrived, the subject was about the throw a chair at one of the Airport Security Guards.
He was angry, violent, and acting out.
And no matter what country you are from, or what language you speak, if someone in a uniform with a gun on their hip approaches you and motions to you to put down whatever you are about to throw, common sense would dictate that you follow the directions of that officer.

Taser has never successfully been sued for wrongful death.
Not sure about Canadian Law but the guy was non-compliant. The use of the Taser would be valid in my jurisdiction in this scenario. It is not the Officer's fault the guy had a bad heart. This thing is not over yet and the investigation is not concluded.
I have been Tasered six or seven times and I am alive (except on Monday mornings after working my long duty weekend).
Edit: Provide a link to a credible news site with the story stating that Mr. Dziekanski's autopsy has been finished. I can't find it. Also, your numbers are flawed. Amnesty International reports only 290 deaths following Taser use between June, 2001 and September, 2007. This number is for the US and Canada. I don't agree with AI's flawed concern for Tasers but good lord if their numbers aren't even close to yours then there is obviously a problem. You're not fabricating stats are you?

Your death count is a bit high. No one has ever been confirmed dead solely because of the taser. There has always been a pre-existing condition related to the death.
Voltage is not deadly, amperage is. The taser delivers .0021 amps, 30 times less than the minimum lethal range of .07 amps. By comparison, the taser delivers 50,000 volts. A static electricty shock from rubbing your feet on the carpet, and touching a doorknob can be up to 2 million volts, but no amps.
I said this before, but it is worth repeating. It isn't like the cops are tasing people randomly. Every one, every single one, did something incredibly stupid just prior to being tased. The problem isn't taser happy cops, it is a never ending supply of morons demonstrating needless stupidity.
Your berating buddies are right, you do not know the facts.

It's neither murder nor execution. There was no premeditation. The officers didn't get up that morning and plan on killing a polish man. If they wanted to kill him, they could have just shot him. same with execution. There is no premeditation.
I feel sorry for the guy though, being at a foreign airport with an obvious language barrier. I can imagine how frustrating that must be.
However, let the matter go to trial.

that's gloomy. We purely had an occasion right here the place a new child who replaced into threatening his mom with a gun got here out of the homestead and replaced into shot lifeless. seems he had a hairbrush in his hand. 20 pictures fired. properly, possibly in basic terms 10 - the media did no longer look to properly known precise then yet threw out the 20 # for result. loads of questions there too. Why 10 pictures or perhaps 5? Kneecap the perp and produce him down. Did the new child desire to kie? Suicide with the aid of law enforcement officers? each and every of the info are not ordinary yet. you do no longer point out plenty on your fact the two. seems you disregarded particularly some needed ideas. Do you paintings for the clicking? that's their tactics. Throw deceptive ideas accessible and stand back and benefit from the bruh ha ha it creates. wager Canada isn't all that suitable the two huh? Sorry, sick of the U. S. bashing. with the aid of how, no longer all law enforcement officers are viscious nor stupid. i do no longer in all probability think of it proper to call them stupid the two. verify out the learning mandatory to be a cop? theory approximately what they do on a daily basis, putting their lives on the line for you? each and every case must be appeared at individualy and each u . s ./city/state has to take the proper action against that police officer IF any is warranted. till you recognize the info, don't get all positioned out and don't lie.

It sure seems like a wrongful death but I would stop short of calling it 'murder'. The concept of murder requires a motive and preconception. I don't think that the police planned to kill the guy but it does seem like a gross misuse of power.
However even if you have seen the video (or even if you were there yourself) it is very hard to know exactly what did happen without a thorough investigation (and thats whats going on right now).
Even policemen caught on tape apparently acting badly are still innocent until proven guilty in a court of law (though sometimes correct, the court of public opinion is frequently wrong).
I'm not trying to support that kind of behaviour but I am suggesting that its too early and there is not enough information to make a firm opinion.
Its kind of ironic that us Canadians are often branded by Americans as being too soft on immigrants - clearly we're not.
