You don't need to be a genius to be hired by the FBI, but you will need a college degree. The HBP will not be an automatic disqualifier, but hiring for any federal agency is a competitive process... there are a few openings and a lot of applicants. You need to do everything you can to make yourself stand out from the crowd if you want to get hired.

enable me placed it this sort: If each relatives member of a individual fascinated in transforming into a member of the FBI or the CIA had a completely sparkling life checklist, we'd have not got any FBI or CIA brokers. i'm advantageous your loved ones would be investigated, yet I hardly have faith that some thing that your parents went via ions in the past would have any destructive outcomes that would desire to disallow you employment by utilising the FBI and or the CIA. Now in case your loved ones have been mass murders or did reformatory time for espionage or hate crimes or some horrid episode with little ones, then, there would be reason for concern on what your approach would be if raised by utilising those form of criminals. yet, curiously like your parents are on a daily basis people who discovered from their downfalls so i in my opinion do not see any reliable rationalization which you will worry approximately your probabilities of being prevalent in the secret provider. yet, in case you may desire to quell your fears, merely ask the secret provider what events of relatives would be frowned upon while interviewed for a place with the secret provider. reliable success to you and capture the undesirable men, will ya??

Military experience is good. You had a medical discharge that is correctable with medication. I don't see that disqualifying you for the job. They recruit African Americans, so you stand a chance at getting the job. It would help to have some college training, yes they do look for intelligence in the field. Just simply apply, and go from their. It's worth a shot, you might be able to work your way up the ranks.

Like your first answer, you WILL need to have a college degree to be employed by the FBI. You don't have to be an agent though, they have many many support services, like forensics, information technology, ect. I wouldn't recommend the CIA. Best of luck to you.
