I posted "Does anyone know about what computer scams are out there" over a week ago. I received 8 replies and all I can say is THANKS GUY'S. The one I received was a 419 scam calling it self "UK INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY" this scam originates from Nigeria. If you look on www.419.bittenus.com all the information is there and as a Police Officer, I will pass the details on to the people who will wish to know about it. I will post this message on different categories. Lets stop these people.

I have also received two more e-mails from a Dr Aka (yes) saying he has $25.8 million to share and a Mrs Aminata Sheriff (yes again) an Iraqi woman giving me almost the same deal.

Can they write traffic and/or parking tickets? Specificaly, a ticket for not putting the yearly decal on your tag. I've been digging and found that the person that ticketed my car is a retired APD officer. What power does he have to ticket for registration or anything non-parking related?

I keep the decal inside my car because it gets stolen too often when I park in Downtown Atlanta. GA law previous to this year didn't require that you put the decal on your tag. It was changed recently and, of course, I only just found out about it because of this ticket. There is now a 25$ fine wether you have the decal or not. I've been asked to show the decal and sent on my way many, many times.

This time, I was parked on a public street and away from my car for not more than 30 seconds and the security officer threw the ticket onto my wind-sheild as I was pulling off. I was not asked to show the decal.

Drive in the Rain without Their Headlights On? In my state it's against the law to drive in the rain or fog without headlights. But I see Staties and local cops drive without them all the time. Why don't they uphold the law they ticket us for violating?

I think someone told me it was NLS or something like that and what data are you allowed to receive from the ISP? Would like it if someone with law enforcement experience answered it.

Thanks.

We have neighbors at my apartment complex that are dealing drugs and not only marijunna but other drugs such as cocaine, crystal meth and ectasy. they party ALL night long they are extremley loud they get into fights they break beer bottles outside their company tears up the drive all hours of the night they have 2 small children in the house. Me and a few other annoyed/concerned neighbors are feed up and have called the policemaybe 10 times in the last 3 weeks and they come here pull in the lot and pull out, we give them plate numbers vehicle descriptions, names(if we know them for sure) and the address to the apartment. and they still dont do anything. we have even reported to the *drug tip hotline* about 1 month ago. Well tonight same stuff happening and my neighbor calls the police they come here pull in then out and sit across the street talking. she went to the officers and told them whats happening and they said we will let the night shift know... Does this make any sense?

I was involved in a hit and run and I got the ladies license plate. The police did nothing about it. She had no insurance. The police officer told me they would enter her license plate number into the system so if her plate was ran her car would be impounded and she would be arrested. I have recently found out her plate was not but into the system and the police officer lied. It says in the police report that it was entered into the system. What should I do now?

I was in a car accident over 3 months ago and the car I was driving was a friends. I know I'm at fault and I know have to pay for the damages but 3 MONTHS later he just now contacting me for money to his car. He's saying I owe him 5000$ when his insurance company (he only has liability) says I have to pay what the car is worth. I know I still need to pay for it, but it's getting to the point that he just wants the money not to fix the car but because his car has been hit twice since the accident and a lot more problems are arising after the accident which I KNOW had nothing to do with my accident. I just don't know what to do, I know I should pay but I just need some laws on car accidents.

I noticed a that a lot of current and former police officers were on this board and I was wondering if I could get some advice.

A few days ago, a junkie with a pair of garden shears tried to rob me right outside of my house. I managed to sprint into a nearby store and call the police, whom I provided a description of the events and offender to and agreed to meet with an officer at that location. While I was waiting I spotted the culprit again, so I knew he was still in the area.

An officer arrived shortely after, and made it clear early on that he resented being there. He had me repeat the same story and description several times, told me my story didn't make sense, repeatedly accused me of trying to buy drugs from the suspect, asked me if I had ever been arrested or charged with any offense(I haven't), and threatened to arrest me for filing a false police report(he made the threat literally dozens of times while berating me for an hour).
