We have neighbors at my apartment complex that are dealing drugs and not only marijunna but other drugs such as cocaine, crystal meth and ectasy. they party ALL night long they are extremley loud they get into fights they break beer bottles outside their company tears up the drive all hours of the night they have 2 small children in the house. Me and a few other annoyed/concerned neighbors are feed up and have called the policemaybe 10 times in the last 3 weeks and they come here pull in the lot and pull out, we give them plate numbers vehicle descriptions, names(if we know them for sure) and the address to the apartment. and they still dont do anything. we have even reported to the *drug tip hotline* about 1 month ago. Well tonight same stuff happening and my neighbor calls the police they come here pull in then out and sit across the street talking. she went to the officers and told them whats happening and they said we will let the night shift know... Does this make any sense?

No - it doesn't make any sense!! Have you talked to your landlords?

Just out of curiosity, how do you know specifically all the different drugs they're dealing? I can understand knowing about the marijuana because you can smell it. But the ectasy?

You might consider going down to the police station and making a formal complaint against your neighbors instead of just calling the police. And have your other neighbors do the same. And feel free to make a copy of the complaint and send it off to the DAs office while you're at it.

By the way, before the police can actually do anything (like get a warrant to search their apartment), they would have to have SOME corroboration other than just someone's word of mouth. They may be trying to corroborate your claim by watching their apartment for suspicious activity and waiting until they get enough to justify getting a warrant.

The Department might be conducting an in-depth investigation. They can raid the apartment and catch a few goof balls with some weed. But it is a whole lot more effective to slip an undercover in the group, find out what is being dealt, who is dealing, and where it is all coming from. Then you swoop down and catch everybody. However, it does take time to do it right.

Keep complaining. . ., might but a burr under the saddle to speed up the results. a bit.

Call the Drug Squad dierctly with all the information you have gathered. Also, put a call into a higher member of the force.

What frightens me is the safety of those children. You MUST call Child Protection Services.

My first thought was Social Services or whatever CPS is called where you live.

My second was also how do you know what they deal? Do they have a menu in the window? :)

My understanding is that all those drugs come from very different channels and it would be amazing for a low level dealer to be in good and sty in good with all those different criminal elements above them.

most apartment complexes have rules about parties and late hours.
the city or county you reside in has noise abatement laws (nuance's)and hours of day and night noise at a certain level is intolerable.
maybe they are documenting activities on film for undercover sting operation. sometimes we do not want to tip our hats because we do not whom we are taking too. friend or foe?
sit back and enjoy because i feel by what you are reporting the police know all these people and do not wan to scare them away. may already have a bust going down and just waiting on the right party to walk in??
