You should thank God you didn't kill anybody, and never drink and drive again. I hope that someone with 2 deweys in 2 months would get the book thrown at them, but our system sucks and innocent people pay with their lives. I say 2 DWI's is enough for jail time, huge fines, loss of license, and mandated treatment. I hope the judge feels the same way I do.

In NY, your 2nd DWI would be considered a Felony charge if your 1st DWI was a misdemeanor conviction. If you were only impaired DWAI, then this would be a misdemeanor only. The DA's Office would either offer you a plea to the charge with an elevated fine and mandatory attendance to a Stop DWI Class. or they would prosecute.

Whoever did something this careless needs to do some serious jail time, in the big house, where you're afraid to bend over and pick up the soap. People who get THREE DUIs show a flagrant lack of regard not only for their own safety but for everyone else on the road. Sweden has it right; one year loss of driving privileges for the first offense; loss permanently for the second. Needless to say, Sweden has the lowest incidence of DUI in the world.

Well, in my state you would have been driving on a suspended license, which is an automatic 10 days in jail. Then I would say the fines would total about 4k and you can't legally drive for a year at the least. Good luck, hope your state has tougher laws.

Sounds like you've just about used up all your luck. Hopefully they'll lock you up and throw away the key before you kill someone. You'll probably be mad at this answer (something I'd expect from an alcoholic) but what did you expect us to say? You basically said, "I've commited the most dangerous, selfish act that I could possibly have, endagering the lives of thousands of people multiple times. Should they behead me, electrocute me, or inject alcohol directly into my veins so I die slowly and painfully of alcohol poisoning?" I PICK THE SLOW ONE!!!

You can expect to do some time... 30 to 90 days I would guess. You will lose your license for a year and you will have to take an alcohol abuse course.

The judge will see that you don't need to be behind the wheel of a vehicle and hopefully order you to jail time and alot of AA.

You lose your license for a very long time and spend some time in jail, I hope.
