If you are living in a "three strike felony" state........... You are gone my friend.

You, or who ever this is you are asking about, is going to spend, on average, at least 10 years in the joint before being illegible for parole.

Take it to trial and lose.. and likely life in prison in a three strikes state. Probably will get an offer to plead guilty and serve less than 10. Know of a case.. same circumstances.. plead guilty and got 3 years... but he was lucky.
