I am planning to go into Police Foundations when I am finished high school, and I want to get a snakebite piercing in the middle of my lip, and a stud on my chin.
I am just curious if you are allowed to have that kind of stuff.

I was arrested and convicted for shoplifting back in 2004.
It may be very weired and funny to you guys but i did not know i have to do the 10 days of community service. At that time i merely spoke english and i thought paying $400 of fine was all.
So i did not do the community service and i never received any letter from the court about community service. In fact, i moved to another place after few months later of the date of convict.
How i find out that i have to do community service is that i went to the courthouse to get a disposition letter because i needed it for the US naturalization application. I read it through and i found out i was sentenced to 10days of community service.
I asked about it here on Yahoo!Answers and people said there must be a bench warrant issued for me. But the thing is that i was caught by police twice for the traffic violation but they never mentioned about bench warrant nor arrested me.And it happened recently. Is this possible? What should i do now?

I was going 26 over in a 55mph zone in Georgia, and I believe traffic laws here mandate that speeding over 24 mph can result in a suspended license. I called the court and my fine is to be $310 minimum. I was wondering what I could do to reduce my fines, or at least, have the police officer lower my speed to under 24 mph so I don't get my license suspended. The day I got my speeding ticket, I had two teeth extracted. I had to get back to school afterwards so I drove back almost immediately after I'd gotten my teeth pulled. I wasn't as aware of my speeding as I normally would have been that day. Would mentioning this to the officer and court make them sympathetic, or would it seem like I was being a reckless driver? What other alternatives can I pursue to lessen my fine or get out of my speeding ticket? I'm 19 years old, and I need my car to drive to and from campus, or else my parents would have to drive me. I don't want to burden them with any more troubles, so please help!

I was driving by a school and a cop gave me a ticket for going 24 mph in a 15 mph school zone. The thing is that school wasn't out, there was no children around AT ALL. The school lights that indicate to slow down were not on and everyone else driving by was going the normal speed limit, not 15 mph. Is it possible to get out of this ticket?

This question is only for Southern California residents. There is currently a county alert for SoCal residents about hazardous brush fires going on; one in Malibu, CA and an arson fire in San Diego, CA. Just curious to see who was affected by this and if they were online. Thanks.

There are quite a few jobs that have higher death rates than law enforcement.

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Police officers' jobs are more dangerous than most -- 11.6 officers per 100,000 die on the job annually compared with 4.0 per 100,000, which is the national average for all occupations. But many common jobs are much more dangerous than a police officer's, including groundskeepers, farmers, airline pilots, construction workers, and truck drivers.

Occupations more dangerous than being a police officer:
Number of deaths per 100,000
employed Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries - 2001
Timber cutting: 122.1
Fishermen: 112.1
Airplane pilots: 100.8
Miners: 29.8
Farmers: 28.0
Construction laborers: 27.7
Truck drivers: 25.0
Groundskeepers: 15.0
Laborers (non-construction): 14.2
Police officers: 11.6

44-year-old Stephen Gordon hit a 96-yearold man for getting in his way on a tram in Croydon. The old man LOST ONE EYE and has had to be put into a care home.

Scumbag Gordon was said by his defence to have had 'mental problems.' Gordon was given a 3-year 'supervision order.' He was shown on TV News just now, leaving court today smiling all over his face.

If the old man had been your great-grandfather, what would you like to happen to worthless trash Stephen 'Scumbag' Gordon?

He was smitten with the full force of British justice a three year supervision order.
This is disgusting even by the normal standards of our judiciary.
The death penalty or life imprisonment would have been more appropriate don't you think ?
If anybody feels that the attacker had a mental illness and that excuses him it does not. He would be better off jailed or executed to protect society.

My motorcycle was stolen and just found out it was in a crash and the guy who stole it almost died. I haven't found out if they arrested him yet but it appears like they didn't arrest him and they didn't run the plates. My moto ended up in impound.

Ok, so got a speeding ticket a year ago in MD. I live in CO. according to the Md website, it still shows active, but $0 in all the fines categories. According to responses to a previous question, I was told that it was in the national database and I would be in violation of a suspended license.. I called the MD MVA... they have no record of this ticket at all. I previously lived in MD, and they have all of my past "discretions" on file, but nothing regarding this... so my question... the MVA has no record of this whatsoever.. but is that different from the cops having record?... meaning despite that I am not in any trouble with the MD or CO MVA... do I still have to worry about being pulled over and arrested for suspended license because of an unpaid $80 speeding ticket?

I would like to know from anyone who is or was once employed as a securtiy officer/guard if they were required to take any training or become certified in order to be employed as security. Also if you did take any traning, do you think the cost of the traning/classes was worth getting the job as a security guard.

He tried to choke me this past weekend and pushed be around. I just want him to go to anger management classes. I think he may even be using steroids! We have a 2 year old daughter together. I know when he is arrested I will have to leave and have no contact with him but I just want to be at home. I know of the penelope house but I don't want to live in a shelter. I have friends and family but their houses are packed. Any suggestions? What other housing options are available. I live on the coast of Alabama.
