You made the choice to steal the narcotics. You could have gone to the police and turned in the alleged person that you say forced you to steal them.

Anyway, I dealt with many cases like this when I worked in Narcotics. You were fired and should be lucky they did not call the police. You would have been arrested for theft or possibly Embezzlement.

Anyway, they WILL report you and if you are a licensed Pharmacist, they will yank your certification. Also, you will have a very, very, very hard time ever getting a job anywhere close to this field again. No company will ever allow you to work there with this kind of mark on your resume.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, but, we all make our own choices in life.... yours was just the wrong one.

Edit:

Thanks for the thumbs down.... don't like the truth so you give me that? Well, keep asking the question, you will eventually find some other person to lie to you or to tell you its gonna be OK and then you will feel better.

AS POSTED BY DOG LOVER, I HAVE ALSO WORKED NARCOTICS. YOU HAD ALTERNATIVES AND CHOSE THE WRONG ONE LIVE AND LEARN.

THE PHARMACY BOARD WILL DEFINITELY PULL YOUR LICENSE AND YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TELL THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON IN YOUR SITUATION.
IF YOU ARE REALLY LUCKY, THE BOARD MAY REQUEST THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER.
A STATE INVESTIGATOR WILL BE CHARGED TO LOOK INTO YOUR ALLEGATIONS. (ALL THIS IS BASED UPON WHAT YOU SAY AFTER THE FACTS. BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE HAD YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE? AN INQUIRY COULD BE ASKED FOR? NOT ALWAYS GRANTED. DID YOU WORK FOR THIS GUY AND THEN SPLIT THE PROFITS? ($130.00 THIS TIME, HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU DONE THIS BEFORE YOU GOT CAUGHT?) ARE YOU TELLING THE TRUTH OR SCAMMING THE BOARD TO COVER YOUR TRACKS?)
A CASE OF FOUNDED MAY RELEASE YOU FROM THIS VIOLATION.
YOUR BOSS MAY HAVE DONE YOU THE BIGGEST FAVOR OF YOUR LIFE. A BIG FAVOR?
YOU HAVE LOST A LOT, BUT COULD HAVE LOST A LOT MORE.
I THINK WE COULD HAVE MADE A STRONG CASE OF DISTRIBUTION TO SELL KNOWN FEDERALLY REGISTERED NARCOTICS, OVER THE COUNTER DRUGS (NARCOTICS CLASS A.) FEDERAL OFFENSE, STATE OFFENSE, USING POSITION TO OBTAIN DRUGS FOR ILLEGAL RESALE???

The only help you can really receive is from yourself. You have displayed great cowardice for what you did, but you have also shown immense courage in admitting your mis-demeanor. But unless you have truly repented from yor mis-demeanor and have made a concerted decission to correct this problem - THEN- Boy-O-Boy it will become an on going problem with enormous criminal intentions. Do not look for sympthy or pity. We live by the choises we make, good, bad or indifferent. Confession is a cleansing of the soul, but if it is a bad confession- beware of your own heart> There are many of us who will pray for ypu, each in their own way- so do not give up on your self because we will not give up on you. Think this thru, and I'm sure you will came to the right decision even if it means your job. Get over it. get thru it and move on to better wothwhile things. Sorry about the death threats- go to the authorities and tell the whole neighbourhood about this person/s and expose them. Take their controll over over you away from them and they can't hurt you.

My ex-GF's uncle WAS a pharmacist and he he got caught. They suspended his license for awhile and he had to complete treatment. They then gave him his license back and he went back to work. Eventually, he did it again and got caught again. He was permanently banned from working in a pharmacy ever again, but he was not prosecuted criminally. If you employer turns you in to the police you could be charged with embezzlement or theft. If this is a 1st time and you are a licensed pharmacist, you may get a second chance from the pharmacy board. You should consult a lawyer.

If you have a license, it will probably be pulled. The problem with theft is that no one wants to hire a thief. I know of companies who will hire a convicted murderer before even considering a thief. Some of it has to do with obtaining a Bond but some places do not want to take a chance of being stolen from.
