The worse thing is that if someone would have stepped in and hit this coward then they would have been sent to prison.....
I wonder to myself if this is a race issue..(i do not mean a racial attack), i mean did the judge show lenience because this man was black? would the same lenience have been shown to a white man? we will have to watch the news for a white man to attack a pensioner.
And what happens when this coward strikes again? will the judge give him probation next time or will he really punish him by giving him an ASBO.

The attacker should be put in a secure unit. Mental illness what crap. That is a sure get out clause and it's being used more and more.
Make prison less comfortable and perhaps criminals wouldn't want to go back.
Open up the institutions for the mentally ill again and free up hospital beds for the tax paying people.

First kick the judge's a*se, then sack him.
Tie up the thug,and lock him in a room with 10 of the
victims family for 30 minutes, then lock the judge in a room
with the victim's family for 30 minutes. Video the whole thing,
and force all the judges in the land to watch the video.This to serve as a warning for their misguided loyalties,and pathetic

It sucks that society sucks and doesn't seem to care for people these days. The old people are hit the hardest in some cases, they usually aren't treated with respect and things never seem to justified when bad things like this one incident took place. It's almost as if the elderly weren't treated like human beings. As for the old person's attacker, he should be locked up in prison and should serve lifetime prison. This should be an example that should be made known to the public for those who think they can get away with injustice.

If anyone has read some of my previous answers they will quickly see that this award does not in anyway surprise me, Our laws are for the most part grossly inadequate to fit crimes of this nature, how on earth highly qualified judges and lawyers have not acted before now to deal with these acts of mindless violence is beyond comprehension. the arrogance of the cretin leaving court he was clearly shown to be a callous person oblivious to anyone in the world except himself, waken up you lawyers before it is too late
