In the United States alone, 1,192, 800 cars were reported stolen in 2006.

Determining the number of police cars giving chase is difficult because, of course, each state has their own stats.

As for fatalities, it's even more difficult because a certain number of fatalities are the perpetrator himself, passengers of his/her vehicle, police officers involved in the pursuit, and still others may be innocent bystanders (pedestrians, bicyclists, other motorists, etc).

Determining the number of recoveries are again, a state by state statistic.

you could always right to your local police station and ask them for figures that might help,,,, just tell them its for a project iam sure they will help hope this helps ,,tgc
