There are quite a few jobs that have higher death rates than law enforcement.

Police officers' jobs are more dangerous than most -- 11.6 officers per 100,000 die on the job annually compared with 4.0 per 100,000, which is the national average for all occupations. But many common jobs are much more dangerous than a police officer's, including groundskeepers, farmers, airline pilots, construction workers, and truck drivers.

Occupations more dangerous than being a police officer:
Number of deaths per 100,000

Farmers: 28.0
Construction laborers: 27.7
Truck drivers: 25.0
Groundskeepers: 15.0

Sorry, but I don't know what you're asking. Rephrase your statement/question, and I'll give you a better response.

I see the point, however, not the question. I appreciate the statistics, however, how many of those occupations get shot at close range, point blank in the head? How many of those occupations get ran over by a drunk driver, while pulling over another drunk driver? Not many. Statistically, I appreciate the facts, however, even if the law enforcement casualties are lower that other occupations, law enforcement casualities are more violent when it comes to death's on our own soil.

The only stat that I would take issue with is pilot. I think they are using pilot as an activity not an occupation. Private pilots put their aircraft into the ground all the time but they are flying for themselves not as an occupation.

Yes, the numbers are staggering, but to answer your question ... "Is this good enough?" ... my answer would have to be NO. The numbers could be much less if everyone tried a little harder. If that is not the answer you are looking for, then I am with the majority here and ask, "Then what's your question?".

Is what good enough? The fact that you are ranting and using Yahoo! Answers as a soapbox which violates the community guidelines? Or that your name violates community guidelines? Or that your other questions are really just spam which violate community guidelines? Or that you really don't ask questions which, you guessed it, violate community guidelines?

Are those good enough? Well, good enough for me to know that you are just a cop hater, ranting on Yahoo.

Just to add, if you get reported (which you probably have been), it wasn't me. I will let you know when and if I do.
