This guy should be locked up, where he can be seen to take his meds and not just tell his probation officer he did,
2/3 years in Broadmoor under doctors supervision is what he needs not a probation officer and that 2/3 year sentance is 6 years in old money.
STEVE remember i asked the same question well it was deleted by yahoo and i got a warning

This is sickening, the old man was probably a war veteran risking life and limb for a scumbag who got away by saying I am mental, even if the judge believed he was mental but also a danger to society, why is he not locked up in a mental asylm instead of being in the streets, I have personally encountered 3 cases of mental patients who after being released killed several people and one who killed and wounded a few kindergarten children. This is a real social problem which the MPs should resolve instead of smearing each other to say the least.

Someone out their should take this scumbags legs away from him...cripple the piece of sh1t and gouge his eye out.
I don't give a crap if the sh1t has mental problems he should be given a taste of his own medicine.
He's basically just a coward, of all the people on the train he attacked a defenceless pensioner.
And the way he strutted out of court makes me want to puke all over this sh1t heads mother.
If it was my grand father that this coward hit then I'd be serving time for shooting the sh1tbag dead.
And as for the judge who thought it was a good idea to let this bar-steward back on the streets then this judge should be locked up as well. This scum is a danger to the general public and the public should be protected from him.
A contract should be put on the cowards head.....
my the bullying mental case reap what he sows....burn in hell you mental fucker.
(I have also placed a wager on how many thumbs down i get for this and how long it takes before I'm reported by one of the many do-gooders out there who are happy with people like Stephen Gorden roaming the streets.)

regrettably on account that this government got here into capacity they have closed particularly some the psychiatric hospitals down and particularly some the shoppers have been positioned out on the streets to regulate the suitable they might. Paranoid schizophrenics do no longer think of there is something incorrect with them and quit taking their medicine, without one to oversee them they plod alongside till at some point they the two homicide or heavily injure somebody. This guy could have been put in a secure psychiatric unit. Now he will in all probability take delivery of a largactal injection each and every week, this is if he turns as much as receive it. this is all our faults for permitting the government to sell off the huge psychiatric hospitals.

A few years back this guy would have been sectioned under the mental health act. Nowadays he is unlucky not to get a compensation order made out against the pensioner for the distress the pensioner caused him while trying to get off the tram. I think it's only a matter of a few days before his lawyer submits this claim.

It's clear that Britain has more than it's fair share of utter scum. Our prisons are overflowing. I'd like to think I'd take the law into my own hands and then take my chances with a jury of my peers.
There is a seperate and important issue of how we deal with the mentally ill in Britain. At the moment we mostly let them fend for themselves. In Oxford I see the same mentally ill people ranting and raving in public nearly every day of the week. We need to bring back the asylums to protect the public and the mentally ill also.

Honestly...
More prisons need to be built to human filth like that can be put in there for life. It is the only way to keep society safe.
Life in prison.
Hanging is below us, we are meant to be a developed country and an opinion for that as anything below serial murder is an attitude of a fascist!
What is a super-vision order going to do? F*ing hell!

I did see it just on the news. Not good is it.
But in this instance, i really think this guys' own community members will dish out it's own punishment.
It's an absolute shame, and National disgrace that these people get away with it time and time again.
That's what worries me most about this.

another example of this country goin down the toilet, the vast majority of our country know this is wrong, likewise the police and the courts, but the pc brigade and the liberal 'its not their fault' minority of our country have got us by the ........... its high time scum like this were executed or locked up forever with no chance of gettin out, if we know who done what and there is no doubt whatsoever, why not, lets get rid of people like this, cause what are they contributing to society, nothing we the taxpayers and law abiding citizens will be paying for thius guy to go on holidays and have everything done for him, while the other innocent chap loses all his independance and the quality of life for his last few years,id give people like this to the families, let them deal with it

absolutely disgusted by it!!...it's appalling how someone like that could escape a jail term...a crime is bad enough when it's commited against anyone but if it's a crime against the elderly, as in this case, or children then it should be an instant jail sentence...i have no idea what the legal system is playing at these days!!
