1. Is that days or business days
2. If you dont get the hearing how do you go about getting
released
3. What happens to the charges in PA?

if a person babysitts (without a license) a 3-4 month year old baby and the child is injured severly, what sentence can this person face? I have heard stories like this on the news, but they never tell you the sentence and what actually happens.

in the state that I live in, babysitters have to be state licensed. And the news said it is negligence. It was a individual person and the kid was like under 3 months I think.
The baby is now paralyzed and the brain was damaged. He almost died from injuries because the baby sitter lied to authories at the hospital. And he( the baby sitter) is an adult.
the state and children's services and the hospital filed a case against the person (from what the media says)

Whwn my roommate pulled 2 knives on me, why wasn't I in right to defend myself? & the police didn't take me seriously & they put me in the mental hospital & told me that if I didn't go, then they were gonna put me in handcuffs & FORCE me to go. & they kept telling me what the other woman had the right to do. This wasn't a fair situation. This woman cahrged @ me with 2 knives, not 1. & the police didn't consider it attempted murder, & they laughed @ me.

Ok, let's say a police officer, is in a car chase and is attempting to pull the driver over, however the driver does not cooperate and this results in a high speed chase,.....

Is a police officer allowed to stick his gun out his window and try to shoot the tires of the suspects car in order to make him stop ?

Regards

A 12-yr. old girl pulled a knife on my friend (not actually a knife, but sheetrock cutters), trying to slit her throat, & my friend called the police, so the girl started charging more, & my friend started fist-fighting back in self-defense, in order to protect her throat from being slit.

In this case, is it right to fight a child or was she still wrong? The police took FOREVER to come on the scene, & then when they did come, they put the little girl in jail & let my friend go (I'm SO thankful & glad that they let her go), BUT ONLY because the officer was flirting @ her & she flirted back. Was this fair?

I was pulled over for defective equipment (brake light), but when the officer ran may plates, he found out my tags were expired. And BEFORE giving me my ticket to sign he said "I'm going to let you slide on the brake light, since the tags are more important" After he gave me the ticket I noticed I had two charges, expired tags and defective equipment. The jerk charched me anyway. My boyfriend was in the car too, so I have a witness to what he told me.

STEEL PIN BLUES

Last week, I saw a young friend, of several months, in possession of a sharpened steel pin. The type of pin used on building sites to mark out lines. When I saw him with it he was using it to scratch grafitti into the stone work of public building. Realising that he could cause greater damage with it, and getting himself into trouble, I took it upon myself to relive him of the pin, he resisted. I left him with it.

However, I made the custodian of the building aware of the situation. He realising the potential damage that might be exacted out upon the fabric relieved the youngster of the pin.

Since then, I have been subjected to the most foul-mouthed diatribe from this young lad. Its also quite obvious his parents appear to countenance his potential vandalism. He is 11yo.

I am asking this question again in different text people took it the wrong way. If you are a law enforcement officer and the technology was available that a side arm that fires faster and has more ammo than a pistol and just as reliable; in this case it would shoot faster if using lasers. It only paralyzes or knocks out a suspect. It has no lethal effects, or side effects. and doesn't cause any kind of permanent damage. The way to load it is a simple battery or plugging it into a wall to charge. Allowing to ease the burden of the common fear of taking someones life. Would you use it or prefer a regular pistol?

This question is excluding civilian or criminals, as if it was only available to law enforcement.

First off, I am 16. I want to be a cop when I get older. I've always wanted to be one since I was in 1st grade, and my parents respect my decision. With this, I want to get a pair of handcuffs. I know they come with instructions. So I want to try, practice, and get a head start on other future cops. I wouldn't handcuff anyone against their will or anything like that. My parents said it was okay for me to get a pair of cuffs, but they will not give me their credit card, so ordering online is out of the question. Believe me, I've tried to persuade them to let me order online, but they won't budge. So where can I buy double-locking handcuffs? Keep in mind I am 16, so sex stores are out of the question (and I heard their quality is terrible). Also, I do not want like furry handcuffs or anything like that. Where's somewhere I can go (yes, I can drive) to buy real handcuffs?

Hey,

If there are any police officers out there what would you do in this scenario. Anyone else who is not a police officer feel free to answer as well !

And yes, I got this from the RCMP Preparatory guide (RPAB) I'm planning on becoming an RCMP officer soon !

----------------

You are a police officer in a large municipality. Your coworker and friend, Constable Grey, is in constant financial trouble as the result of loans that she obtained before joining the RCMP. Constable Grey is married and has recently taken on a second job to pay her bills. You have noticed that since she has had this second job, the quality of her work has gone down considerably. Of the following, which is the best initial step to take?

a) Suggest to Constable Grey that she speak to a financial consultant.
b) Lend Constable Grey some money.
c) Speak to Constable Grey's spouse to identify possible solutions to her financial
difficulties.
d) Speak to Constable Grey and tell her about your concerns

Here is a story that happend to me last night. Its funny but its also worrying at the same time.

"I had my car broken into at the Station car park and they did a lot of damage. I was on the phone to the Police at the time, when there was a knock at the door. "Hi, Its the Police, can we come in". I thought "WOW that was quick I am still on the phone with the". But this bunch were making enquires about some house break-ins in our local area. We sat them down and gave them a coffee while I finished with the Police on the phone about my car, when there was another knock at the door. "Hi, Its the Police, can we come in". This was the Murder squad ask questions about the murder Saturday night.

In total I had 6 Police officers all drinking my coffee while I am talking to them over the phone about my car. What next? :)"

Its time way get far tougher on crime and go "Zero Tollerance" just as New York did. If we need more jails then lets build them and fill them with the scum.

Why do police act like ignorant pigs when there on duty,eg,stopping cars on busy roads, stopping in bus stops,or double yellow lines,or even speeding and not wearing seat belts.
The other day one of them opened its car door right in my path and i nearly took it off.The filthy look he gave me.
Before you judge the road was very narrow.
No wonder there is lack of respect for them, cos i for one have no respect what so ever for the police.
I think they are lazy overpaid and a waste of time.
But unfortuanatly as people say we need them.

If your a do gooder dont bother to reply carry on looking out your window.
