Law Enforcement & Police - June 2007

I found out that a crime was commited 3 months ago. A neighbors kids broke into my apartment and trashed the place and took items. I was under the impression that the Landlord had entered and cleaned the apartment out when he thought I was done moving out. A neighbor has recently told me that her 2 kids had entered the apartment before landlord had and that they had taken stuff and trashed the place. Can i still file charges against the kids and their Parents?

A police officer arrived at 10:30 pm, asking if I was her. I said no, that she doesn't live here anymore (she's been gone 1 mo. as I told him) and he looked surprised. He said she just called with a missing cell phone report (I didn't even know that you could call in for something as stupid as that!!??!!)... and gave this address. I said "Police respond to that?" He said "We have to, it's a request for service." (WOW.. I don't get that.)
Well the point of all of this is I am wondering what they are going to do to her for wasting their time and taxpayers' money. She gave the wrong address, knowing that she doesn't live here anymore... I'm sure just to get me pissed off by having me awakened. But the officer didn't seem to mind!!

WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO TO HER? And if nothing, can I complain and get the process rolling? What can be done?

I -think- she moved to Arizona.

i went on youtube and upload a video of me and my friends just goofing around you know how we are and so minutes later i see it is linked to sites that are soo sick and disturbing i removed my video!! why do these sites exist!! how can we get them deleted!! i am totally gay tolerent but there's a fine line between pedo and gay how can i get for example this site deleted:

When i was 16 i was into drugs had alot of drama in my life, got arrested 3 times, and put on probation for 2 years, when i was on probation it started 9/12/05-9/12/07 and i lost my license on 10/1/05-10/1/07, I HAVE BEEN CLEAN off ANY drugs since 11/1/05 and never touched them since. They will not let me get my license, im 19 live isolated bc of the town i live in, i CANT get a job bc we dont have buses or anything, no1 can drive me anywhere, and the nearest place which is a middleschool is an hour walk, why is it that i got caught with some drugs i lose my life even though im not doin em anymore, BUT child molesters get off with a slap on the wrist or sex offenders in general?

1) citation was written as charges being listed: disobeying traffic control device** No signs, signals, or anything was there! Just a bridge / water on two lane highway.
2) Nature of offense: clocked with robotic device at 49 in posted 35 ** What is a robotic device? ALSO no road, direction of travel is completed, and in both sections, charges and offense block, the "other" box was check marked... not speeding...final question: This is the second patrol stop in 2 days, and I just got my car back from the garage, as it was in a reported/insured accident, hit drivers side, (Boss hit my car with the dumptruck at work!) After receiving tonights citation, drove through an electronic speed trap, which stated on their sign that I was going almost 10 mph more than what my speedo was reading. If I have proof the car was hit, to be fixed by garage, but wasn't, will they drop the summons? Do I take this proof to police or ask for a magistrate hearing? Thanks for any help.

I was going 42 in a 25 zone today, the officer pulled me over and gave me one ticket for speeding and another for not having my front plate attached to the car. The plate was in my back seat because of a bumper repar and I just hadn't put on.

Is there any way to get out of these tickets? Should I hire an attorney and let him take care of it? Or should I just pay the fine and deal with the points on my driving record?

I have done something very bad...i am 16 and shoplifted from 3 different stores..1 store i stole $12 worth of things...walmart i stole $21 and meijer $25 worth of things....i am turning myself in...when i do so, will i have to pay a fines even though i am turning myself in? Does anyone also know these stores shoplifting policies? i just feel so much guilt and am very embarrassed.

Given all the stories you hear about youth crimes on the rise, I'm thinking one way we can solve this is to make the interactions between police and youth (teenagers, pre-teens) better, to teach youth to trust the police more, to not be afraid to go to them if they want help. As well, we need to encourage the police to use more rational thinking when questioning teens in cases, without jumping to conclusions and arresting them on sight, etc. so they get more respect and cooperation from them. So what are some ways we can go about acheiving this goal? Sensible answers would be helpful. Thanks.

My auxiliary police dept has training on Friday.. we are doing pepper spray, crowd control, and riot stuff. If we attend, I imagine we are getting pepper sprayed. Now.. how does this work? We stand there and get sprayed, where are our hands, etc? Or We learn about it?

Your paid for vehicle is stolen, so you report it stolen, the police find it and take it to city impound lot and report and notify you that your car has been found, CASE CLOSED. You goes to impound lot and find your car striped you becomes ill and abandon the car. The car is then sold at auction in many cases to the person that has the parts to fix the your car in other words the thief. New title is issued on the spot. Next day car is resold on some used car lot. Is Organized crime involved, well for some reason your police chief looks the other way . Happens about 25,000 times a year in large cities

My fiance was found guilty of ccw, because it was in his car, now his friend has come to him and said that it was his gun and that he will confess to it, Can my fiance be cleared of this or will he still have to go to jail, my fiance was convicted two years ago for the same thing and that is why the found him guilty this time because he is not supposed to have guns.

Recently, my girlfriend, my brother, and I were out driving. I was driving her car when we were pulled over by two deputies for my failure to use a turn signal. Well my girlfriend gets all jittery and starts moving around which must have raised the deputies suspicions. They gets us all out of the car and while one is watching us the other searches the car. The car is clean with one exception. Under the seat where my girlfriend was sitting is a bag of marijuana. It is beside the point that I knew nothing of this. In any case, we were all three arrested. Here is the core of my question. My brother and I were handcuffed behind the back and my girlfriend under whose seat the weed was found and in whose car it was found was not. The deputies didnt have a third set of cuffs so she was allowed to sit in the back of one of their cars with no cuffs while my brother and I were cuffed behind the back. I thought if you were arrested you got cuffed. And why was she not cuffed when we were?

I am worried about what they will do to him. I have been told as he was doing 35mph (he didn't realise and just saw the cars behind him stopped) it was too serious for the fixed penalty and he can be fined up to £1000 and receive a maximum of 6 points. I am just wondering if anyone else has gone through a red light then gone to court so I know what their outcome was? I would just like an idea of the amount he will be fined and whether there might be a driving ban or not?
