I found you from answers yahoo. I was hit by a car infront of me going into reverse. She is a cop and so I just did everything she said to do, because I had never been in any accident before while driving.

She was going into reverse, and bumped slightly into the front of my car. When the cop showed up he wondered why she didnt give me her info, and I said because she said that it was my fault and therefore she didnt have to. Well he got the info from her and gave it to me.

Then without taking any statements, or atleast when it came to writing anything down or having us do the same or sign anything, he then told me to go to the lakestevens police and to report a collision. Well I called the next day, (which is today) and they said to call the state troopers because they had no info about it. Well I am wondering since there isnt any damage. Other then a couple of scratches on her back end bumper should I just let it go and see what happens? Or should I use the case nuimber the cop gave me and persue this crap? Also my insurance called me saying that what she said was all controdictory to what I said and that there may be medical damage. What should I do?

Skander, 20 - described by friends as an "angel" and a "saint" - was shot in the head at point-blank range in a popular Bradford park on Monday.
He died two days later in Bradford Royal Infirmary when his life support machine was switched off."The number one priority is Skander's life was his family. He took his younger sister to and from school every day and cooked and cleaned for his disabled father and his mother, who were separated. The coward who did this has destroyed a whole family. He needs to be caught and locked up for life."

A man gets shot 12 times by an on duty officer, 5 times by another officer.

It was done at night time.

The man who was shot was white. He did not have a gun. He was just reaching for his wallet.

Forensic scientist show he was shot while he was done.

The cops told him to freeze.

The cops approached him, because it was told there have been burglaries in the nieghborhood.

The man who got shot was not a burglar he was just going into his on house.

I have a question to ask all police officers. I am confused about something. Is it your job to pervent a crime from being committed or to wait until a crime is committed and then react? Here is a minor example. Say someone accidentaly turn down a one way street. If you are parked on that street. Will you try and stop the person from accidentaly turning down that street or will you wait until they turn down that street then issue them a traffic violation ticket?

I was charged and pleaded guilty to Common Assault (39) and Assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty (89(1)). Today I met Probation in order for them to write a Pre sentence report.
After giving all the details she told me she would put forward a suggestion of 80 - 150 Hours unpaid work.

Knowing this how likely would a custodial sentence now be?

The Section (39) was from grabbing someones arm (Albeit tightly) and the (89) was headbutting a policeman (Crazy I know but he was being overly physical with me in front of my children).

I have never been in trouble before and have no previous convictions.

I'm 30 years old am of good character, a graduate and in a professional occupation.

Any answers will be appreciated!

Cheers.

You are a newly promoted narcotics detective assigned to a precinct with a rampant drug problem. At your first briefing, the squad commander insists that the unit's "extraordinary" tactics are proving effective; street crime and homicides are down. After the briefing, you ask your partner about the commander's remarks. Your partner explains that sometimes the unit must plant evidence to arrest top-level dealers, and use force to gain information from suspects. You immediately go to the precinct commander and request a transfer, citing what you have heard and been told. The precinct commander tells you that this is the real world, and extreme measures are needed to combat the precinct's problem. Over the next few weeks, you see that the unit does indeed plant evidence to make arrests and also uses physical force during interrogations. What would you do?

When you and your partner respond to a report of a violent domestic disturbance. As you arrive, you see a male subject holding an infant by the ankles, swinging the child so that the child's head strikes the ground. The male subject is screaming and appears incoherent. As you run to aid the infant child, your partner begins repeatedly striking the male subject in the head with a baton. The male subject falls to the ground and is unconscious. Your partner continues striking him. The child appears deceased. What would be your next course of action in this incident? Please help me?

Despite efforts to punish criminals and make them fear crime, there is little evidence that the fear of apprehension and punishment can reduce crime rates.

Usually gang violence is targetted against other people in the underworld, it seldom attacks normal society. Why are the police wasting money trying to stop gangbangers from shooting holes into each other when no innocents are being hurt?

In January I got a ticket for public intoxication in Wal-Mart, even though I wasnt drunk. I guess thats beside the point since I got the ticket anyways, but I requested the wrong day off of work, so I couldnt go to court to get a payment plan or anything. Ive called and told the court that I cant afford $756 and the clerk basically said tough luck. I really don't want to get arrested, considering I still live with my parents, and they dont know about the ticket. How long does it take for you to get picked up on a warrant? What are my options?
