I found you from answers yahoo. I was hit by a car infront of me going into reverse. She is a cop and so I just did everything she said to do, because I had never been in any accident before while driving.

She was going into reverse, and bumped slightly into the front of my car. When the cop showed up he wondered why she didnt give me her info, and I said because she said that it was my fault and therefore she didnt have to. Well he got the info from her and gave it to me.

Then without taking any statements, or atleast when it came to writing anything down or having us do the same or sign anything, he then told me to go to the lakestevens police and to report a collision. Well I called the next day, (which is today) and they said to call the state troopers because they had no info about it. Well I am wondering since there isnt any damage. Other then a couple of scratches on her back end bumper should I just let it go and see what happens? Or should I use the case nuimber the cop gave me and persue this crap? Also my insurance called me saying that what she said was all controdictory to what I said and that there may be medical damage. What should I do?

Use the reference number that the cop gave you.....Sometimes it takes a few days for an accident to be logged into the computer system....And defiinately, follow up on this so you dont get screwed.
