I am applying for a job as a Community Service Officer while I go back to school for my degree in a few weeks. I have no criminal record, never been arrested, done volunteer work, never been fired, pretty much a normal, helpful, law abiding citizen in most ways.
The only problem is my driving record. Since 2001, I have had 1 accident for which I received a careless driving citation, and took the court ordered course for it. I have also received 5 speeding citations, 4 Unlawful Speed(all but one were less than 10 mph over limit), and 1 Speed In Excess Of Posted Maximum. For 4 of these, I completed the courses and no points were assessed. For 1, I paid the fine, and as of current I have only 3 points on my FL License. I have also received 4 Improper Equipment citations, not for faulty equipment but for neon lights, turn signal color, etc.
I have a great resume and an outstanding personal record, but what are the chances that my driving record will keep me from getting the job?
