I have heard that the use of certain drugs automatically disqualifies you in some states. What about Ohio?

I am applying for a job as a Community Service Officer while I go back to school for my degree in a few weeks. I have no criminal record, never been arrested, done volunteer work, never been fired, pretty much a normal, helpful, law abiding citizen in most ways.

The only problem is my driving record. Since 2001, I have had 1 accident for which I received a careless driving citation, and took the court ordered course for it. I have also received 5 speeding citations, 4 Unlawful Speed(all but one were less than 10 mph over limit), and 1 Speed In Excess Of Posted Maximum. For 4 of these, I completed the courses and no points were assessed. For 1, I paid the fine, and as of current I have only 3 points on my FL License. I have also received 4 Improper Equipment citations, not for faulty equipment but for neon lights, turn signal color, etc.

I have a great resume and an outstanding personal record, but what are the chances that my driving record will keep me from getting the job?

So I have had a rocky past. I had a possession of marijuana charge when I was 16. I was into a lot of drugs when I was younger, but thats the only offense and it may have been dropped. I had an underage DUI when I was 19 and that was dismissed also, but shows up as being dismissed on my record still. I also had a misdeameanor petty theft when I was 19 and I had that expunged off my record about 3 years ago. For the last 6 years I have stayed out of trouble and been taking pre-med and nursing classes carrying a high GPA.. I really want to attend the police academy, but all the talk of polygraph tests and the fact that its already challenging to get a job scares me. Although my record is clean now (had it checked through FBI fingerprint)...I'm afraid I may be looked down upon when it comes time to get a job. What do you all think?

Does Bush think terrorists are stupid enough to place a bomb in their bag. Most bombs are attached to the body.
Also the subway has thousands of openings that terrorists can get thru with no detection. Does Bush think manning only the busy openings is going to stop a terrorist?

I was just watching a show where the psychic helped police on Court TV, and i've heard about this happening before. Was just wondering is this a regular thing that happens, or only in cases that police have an extremely difficult time finding any leads, and aren't getting anywhere on the case?

I had touched a tool that may have been used in a crime...from what I have heard, they took it to a fingerprinting lab. When they find my prints on it, are they going to be able to match it up to me? Do they have anything to match it to? I assume there will be multiple people's prints on there anyway, since it was in a store and I wasn't the last one to use it. I have never done anything bad, but I do not want to be blamed for this. Can they accuse me for this just for having my fingerprints?

Reason I am asking is because my daughter believes that it happened to her and the police said that NO DRUGS were evident.

it seems to me with vacationers, visitors to and inside the park who are having problems finding a ranger this is the reason it seems like highway robbery when a ranger on a state highway is positioned in such a way as to be stealth until youre right on top of them is fundamentally wrong.
such as the nps rangers along al. state hwy 35.
what say you?

There's this guy in my town who is really fat because of all the burgers he eats. He constantly hits things and breaks stuff whenever he walks around. He's been banned from several stores, but he still has to go to the supermarket, and when he does he always knocks things over and breaks things. There's been talk of a legal injunction against him to require him to lose weight or go to jail. WHat do you think of this?
