I have legal gaurdianship of my son, who is 16. His father is totally out of the picture. But his mother, my son's grandmother - who he hates by the way, has forced visitation once a month until he's 18. I tried to get the visitation resolved so I could move to another state, which my lawyer thought would be no problem, but to our surprise the judge denied my motion. I was shocked to say the least. So my question is, what is the worst that could happen if I moved anyway? It wouldn't be kidnapping, but I would be in contempt. My best friend says she thinks nothing could be done to me unless I returned to the state where the order was issued - that the authorities wouldn't come looking for me in another state for breaking the visitation, specially being that I don't plan on giving a forwarding address. Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Is this illegal?
Lets say someone gets pull over and they leave the cd player playing and they are singing when the officer is standing right there. And that person tells the officer to wait so they can finish singing the song. The song is one thing leads another by steven strait.

I would like policemen and women to answer this one........

It is really irritating, they get locked up, they kick them to the
kerb, they do the same things over and over again, knowing
full well that they will be caught and that they are pushing their
luck....................

Is it REALLY possible to take someone to jail for stealing a candy bar or were they just trying to mess with me? It was worth 65 cents...and I have no other criminal record. They didn't fine me or take me to jail, but changed their minds about 5-10 minutes after TALKING about taking me to jail, or getting picked up by my parents. Like hell I was going to ask my parents to pick me up...so I ended up paying for the candy bar. But were they just trying to freak me out, or is that really possible?
(I don't need to know that's it's bad to steal. I know that. I would just like to know if it's possible to go to jail for stealing a 65 cent candy bar)

What is the penalty in most states if someone underage under 16 with no license drives and let say speeds and ends up getting caught by the cops.

What is the penalty for doing that?

One day it had rained and I had came from my cousin house the back way and I was coming down this little hill and there was a car was in front of me. It was night time and it had pressed on brakes and pulled to the side. So I slowed down cause I thought he was going to turn but he pulled over. As soon as i past him to go around this curve. I found out it was a State Trooper and he pulled me over. He told me that he clocked me coming down the hill going 70 or 71mph but i was going 60mph but what got me was that he said that i slowed down because i know it was him in front of me. But that was impossible because it was a country road with very little light and i didn't get close to him until he pressed brakes i think he pulled me because it was Christmas Day.

This my second speeding ticket. My previous one was when I was 18, I'm 20 now. I live in louisiana and I got a ticket during mardi gras break! They didn't put the price on the ticket. Is that bad? How much do you think it will be?

Is this controversial statewide anti-gang task force(operated in joint venture w/ the Maricopa Sheriff's Office) still around harassing the state's teen population?

I remember watching their efforts on TV a few years ago, and boy, the agents(AZ/DPS/HP troopers) thought they were immune from ANYTHING, even interference from other sheriffs!!!...

No disrespect to Sheriff-for-Life Joe Arpaio, but I think that the GITEM boys are like Rambo...

BTW, what does "GITEM" mean?...

Thanks

This same source says that in supermax's officers use "reasonable force" using cell extractions as an example but i thought that they were allowed in regular prison as well? help someone

ii have extreme phobias and my latest one is going to prison. about one month ago i did something legal that could have become a crime if i was not careful, however i have been informed by many that what i did was perfectly legal (even by a lawyer) however im still worried. i have travel in airports a few times and its been a month since that time, if there was infact a felony warrant out for me would they have come to me already? this would be a relief since they havent. due to the nature of my phobia i cant bring myself to call the police and check, how long until i can really relax?

It's pretty self explainitory, but I watched the Real World recently, and Tyree got arrested for it. Thank God I have never gotten arrested for the countless times I have done it, but my friends have recieved citations for it, but never taken into custody. I thought it was just a fine, and not jail time.

Is it different for all places? i.e. is it a local law that is different from city to city?

I was visiting a friend today, and saw 4 or 5 young girls, going in,and out of an older handicapped guys apartment,at one point, one of the girls came to the front door completely nude.
These females were flagging down cars as they passed thru the complex.
I am 100% sure these girls are hooking/prostitutes.
They all looked drug addicted.
Would you turn them in to the cops,or just look the other way?
