I want to become a cop but if there is a limit then maybe I might be a soilder instead.

Hmmm I am assuming you mean overall?? If that is the case then Yes there is a Limit. But from 1 Jan to 30 June there is no limit. And from 1 July - 31 Dec there is no limit. So gee I guess there really is no Limit what do you know ???

You want to be a cop so you can kill.....
If you can't be a cop you want to be a soldier so you can kill.....
I'll tell you right now that military and civilian law enforcement have specially designed tests to weed out individuals like yourself.
on the bright side you will get a nice vacation courtesy of the state county or feds they will lock you up in a padded room and try and figure out why you want to kill and if you can't do it legally how much of a threat will you be if turned loose back in to main stream America

My brother was a cop for 30 years and never fired his gun off the practice range.
If you're looking to load up with a .50 caliber machine gun and walk through poor neighborhoods mowing down "the bad guys" then you'll be sorely disappointed.
Stick to the arcade games.

Your misguided concept of law enforcement and their desire to "do away" with thugs is sad!
Having been an officer for over 30 years, it has always been my goal to help those who need help and provide a better and safer environment for my community.
Despite the fact that some people do bad things, it's not up to me to be the "hammer on the pistol of justice."
My sole responsibility is to protect and serve....not bring harm to others!

This sounds very much like the poster who (presumably) graduated from MIT with a 4.0 GPA in EE and wanted to kill bad guys.
Get a clue - you have no concept of law enforcement or its purpose. With that type of mentality, I expect to see you arrested and charged/arraigned for murder soon.
Don't bother applying to the military either...
